I think your shots will grow better as your confidence grows! My photojournalism teacher used to say you can hide behind the lens and be bold... even if you are a shy person. The camera gives you a reason to be able to be bold.

Great triple shots today! I'm glad you selected some of the portraits. There were some stunning portraits this week. I also liked the portraits by @suriclicksmedia @ersusoficial @spliddash and especially @malos10. Thanks for including my post. Sometimes my posts are more about an interesting subject than quality photography and alas that was the case this week 🙄 My kitchen is horrible for photos. The lighting is bad, all the surfaces are reflective, its just a mess.

Yes, we get so many awesome portraits I don't always want to feature them as to spread around the love to all styles. But, I couldn't resist the two out of 3 Hotshot portraits. The four you mentioned also had some great portraits as well. Malos' portrait of the Husky just barely missed the top 3. hahaha Spliddash has also been doing some cool stuff lately as well. Ersus and Suriclicks always bring some great shots to the community as well.

I didn't realize I missed PI day so seeing your post was awesome! You don't have to worry about the technical stuff if you have the passion behind your posts and also if you are creative too. You usually have at least one gem in your posts and that's more than enough. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your shots here with us. Don't worry about your kitchen either... not everyone has a studio setting to capture their shots! hahaha

All those paintings were super cool. It was hard to pick one I liked best but I thought your photo plus the awesomeness of that painting were suited for the feature shot. =)

Those band shots were super cool. It's always nice to see musicians in action. I grew up around musicians so I think it's something most people aren't as experienced with. Glad the band chilled a bit and got more natural in their environment. That was a good strategy you had to tell them to act as if you weren't there. It paid off! Cheers

My dad played guitar and drums... and my mom played guitar and bass. So, it was a fun environment watching the band practice and having live music and practices in my house as a youngster. You can never go wrong choosing guitar! hahaha You have a great night/day too

Your daughter is gorgeous and you captured that beauty very well in a dramatic way in that shot. Your series had a lot of variety and high quality creative shots in many genres but I couldn't resist featuring your amazing portrait. Her hair and the highlight in her eye really made this portrait stand out along with the dramatic lighting. Thank you! I'm late to the party cause handling images on Hive with a phone is often an exercise in futility, though it's getting better.
