Tarek pukat is an activity that depicts a symbol of togetherness and mutual cooperation of the Acehnese people, a cultural heritage for the Acehnese people from generation to generation to this day.
carried out by fishermen in the coastal areas of Aceh to catch fish.

Using large trawl nets which of course will be controlled by many fishermen so that the nets used only reach coastal areas.
This trawling activity can be found every morning along the coast of Aceh. By using a boat, trawl nets are thrown in a circle starting from the beach.

Meanwhile, another group of fishermen pulls the land net with a trawl rope tied to the fisherman's waist and simultaneously pulls the net slowly and the fish caught into the trawl net.
