Monomad Challenge-Photographic Essay: The Face of City Life in Black and White

Hello hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry

Behind the hustle and bustle of the city, there's something we rarely notice. But on this occasion, my camera captured it in a black and white photo, telling the story of people's lives on the streets.

An elderly man, frail and decrepit, walks along the sidewalk, carrying his wares. His steps look heavy, but he remains determined to support his family.

Not far away,
at a corner of Malioboro Street, a busker stands under a signpost. The man plays his guitar and sings, entertaining passersby in the city center.

At night, Malioboro Street becomes a street for street vendors and a public stage. Various vendors, from satay vendors to balloon vendors and other culinary delights, are available here. Occasionally, vendors can be seen offering their wares.
This is a glimpse of the contrasting faces of the city.

I also glimpsed a scavenger with a sack over his shoulder walking past a young man sitting leisurely with his smartphone in his hand.
Two worlds meet on the street, the contrast between the world of hard work and the world on screen, greeting each other.

Amidst traffic jams, a flag seller, under the blazing sun, tries to sell his wares to motorists stopped at a red light.
Amidst the clouds of exhaust fumes and the heat of the road, the man continues to sell small red and white flags.

The photographs I take are not mere portraits, but true stories of life, about struggle, simplicity, contrast, and the spirit that keeps us alive.
