Caelifera / Grasshopper. The grasshopper that camouflages with it is very good.

Hi everyone who has always been loyal to this CCH community. Especially for you photography lovers. How are you all doing? May the best news always be with you. On this occasion, I would like to share my photography of an insect called Grasshopper. When I was walking around in the garden, I suddenly saw this animal and I was interested in capturing it. Some of these photos were taken using my smartphone.

Locusts are herbivorous insects of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. They have antennae that are almost always shorter than their bodies and also have short ovipositors. The sound that some grasshopper species make is usually produced by rubbing their hind femurs against their front wings or abdomen (called stridulation), or by flapping their wings in flight. The hind femur is generally long and strong, which is suitable for jumping.

These insects are generally winged, although the wings sometimes cannot be used for flight. Female locusts are generally larger than males.

Grasshoppers prefer moist, open natural areas with lots of grass and other low plants, although some species live in forests or woodlands. Others reside on damp, mossy cliffs, soils and rocks and consume lichens.

Many grasshopper species that live in grasslands often invade the fields of nearby farmers. Overpopulation of locusts will be very detrimental to farmers if they attack crops in plantations.

That's some knowledge about this animal. Hope this was useful and you liked and enjoyed it. Thank you for everything. See you next time. I take my leave, greetings from a lover of nature and what lies within it.
