About the fresh fruit called Jambu Bol or Malay Apple.
Hello my loyal and beloved friends, nature lovers. How are you? I wish you all the best and continued success. It's great to see you again in this post and share about nature. On this occasion I would like to share about a very nutritious fruit. A fruit whose scientific name is Syzygium malaccense or known as Malay apple.
In my area this fruit is called Jambu Bol. Fruit with a denser and softer flesh texture than water guava. What I know is that this fruit comes from Malacca. The tree of this fruit has a medium size reaching up to 15 meters. The trunk is straight, the trunk size can reach 20 to 45 centimeters. The single leaf is located opposite with a short stalk reaching 1 to 1.5 centimeters and the leaves are red when young. Flowers that will produce fruit are slightly purplish red in color. The wreath usually appears on leafless twigs. The fruit has a round brown seed with a diameter of 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters.
There are some people who use the skin of the trunk of this plant as a thrush medicine. And also its hard wood trunk is very suitable for building materials.
About the ecology of this plant is that this plant is found anywhere. In my area many are planted in the yard and we can also find in the forest. Usually to reproduce this plant can with seeds and also with grafts. Usually these plants flower around May to June and will bear fruit in August to September. But there is a distinctive symptom of this plant that is not all of these plants can bear fruit, sometimes there are those that thrive but do not want to flower and bear fruit.
Fruit that has a sweet taste, some are sour and some are astringent has many benefits. This is because it contains nutrients that are quite good for health. Among the nutritional content is Energy of 56 kilocalories, Carbohydrates 14.2 grams, Protein 0.6 grams, Calcium 29 milligrams, Fat 0.3 grams, Iron 1 milligram, Phosphorus 16 milligrams, Vitamin A as much as 130 IU, Vitamin B 0.02 milligrams, Vitamin C 22 milligrams and so on.
Due to the abundance of these nutrients, this fruit is very good for consumption to prevent diabetes, treat mouth ulcers, boost the immune system, launch the digestive system, strengthen bones, overcome dysentery, maintain healthy skin and much more.
About the side effects of Jambu Bol, there are no negative side effects but it is also not good to consume it excessively, this is due to the large amount of Vitamin C content.
That's all about the fresh fruit called Jambu Bol or Malay apple. Hope you find it useful. I take my leave, hopefully we can meet next time. Thank you for everything. Greetings from nature lovers.
