Tranquility in the Embrace of the Mountains: The Waterfalls and Natural Beauty of Sangarz Village and Zou Milan
Hello friendsđ€©đ€©.
In this scorching summer heat, nothing hits the spot like escaping into natureâespecially cool spots with waterfalls!
Today, I want to share another one of my refreshing and fun trips with youâa great little getaway to the Miyankooh region, the village of Sangaz, and Zo Milan.
The weather was absolutely perfect, and everything came together for an amazing time. đđŠ
Letâs dive in and relive the vibe together!
The Zo Milan trail in the Miyankooh region is truly one of the hidden gems of northern Khorasan, especially for those who love untouched nature and peaceful surroundings.
The trail is lush, cool, and filled with trees and flowing riversâespecially in the summer when the heat gets intense, this place feels like paradise. From the very beginning of the path, the sound of running water and the scent of wild plants lift your spirits.
Along the way, there are several waterfalls hidden in the heart of the trail.
Parts of the trail pass right through the river, and in some spots, you have to climb over rocks and bouldersâbut itâs all part of the fun. You completely lose track of time. The path is so full of natural beauty and little challenges that we were totally focused on how to make our way through each section.
The trail is semi-mountainous and winding, but itâs incredibly lush and scenic. From the village of Sangaz to the first waterfall, the path is fairly easy and even suitable for families. After that, it gets a bit more challenging and adventurousâyouâll need to cross rocks and sometimes walk through the river.
Even though the photos you see might seem repetitive at first glance, the feeling of getting lost in natureâs beauty at every twist and turn is something you have to truly experience to understand.
I just couldnât resist capturing some shots to share with you.
Along the trail, one of the most enjoyable parts is coming across all the small and large waterfalls that pop up one after another. Some are small and delicate, with water gently cascading down from the rocksâso peaceful that the sound of trickling water in the quiet of nature is truly soothing. You can sit beside some of these little falls, dip your feet in the cool water, and soak up the refreshing vibes.
But the further you go, the more serious the trail becomes. The sound of the water grows louder and more powerful, and you start to feel like youâre getting close to something special. Thatâs when you realize youâre approaching the main waterfall. The path gets tougherâyou have to move between rocks, sometimes even use your hands to climb or cross parts of the river. But with every step forward, the excitement builds.
As you get close to the final waterfall, the powerful sound of water crashing against the rocks is the first sign that you're almost there. Then, all of a sudden, through the trees and rocks, the grand and majestic waterfall reveals itselfâwith its cool, rushing water and mist floating in the air. Just seeing it instantly washes away all the fatigue from the journey.
The final waterfall was truly something else... When I got there, I just stood still for a moment, completely mesmerized. It was so majestic and powerful that I felt like I was standing in front of a living, energetic force of nature. The water was crashing down with such intensity, and the cool mist surrounding it reached deep into my soul. I could only take photos from the front, since everything around it was wet and slippery, and climbing up beside it wasnât really an option.
What caught my eye, though, was another traveler who had somehow made it to the top of the waterfall and was standing up there. The view from where I stood was so exciting that I quickly pulled out my camera and snapped a photoâit was a moment I couldnât miss.
Then, full of excitement, I turned to one of my teammates and said, âHey, do me a favorâgo up there and take a photo from that angle for me.â
That moment felt like I was looking at nature through a whole new window from below, and I just wanted to experience it from every possible angle. It was honestly one of the most special highlights of the trip.
After all that excitement and beauty, we found a cozy spot by the waterfall to sit and rest. The sound of the water, the cool air, and the deep satisfaction from witnessing so much natural beauty made the fatigue disappear completely. We sat for a while, took a deep breath, and shared stories about the trailâthe tough moments and everything in between.
We all shared a common feeling, like we had left a part of ourselves among the trees, rocks, and the sound of the flowing water. The Zo Milan experience wasnât just a nature trip; it was an inner journey.
When it was time to head back, I took one last long, heartfelt look at the waterfallâas if I was saying goodbye to a close friend. The way back, despite the tiredness, was filled with laughter and conversations. I didnât want it to end, but I know the return is part of every journey.
And now, as Iâm writing this for you, I can still hear the sound of that water in my ears and feel the cool mist on my face.
If youâre looking for a real, authentic experience, donât miss Zo Milan.
Until the next trip, the next good vibe,
For now, goodbye đżđ§âš

The water looks cold and fresh. It is very clean too. I love your photos, they are very refreshing.
