Reliving the last walk I had with you[ENG-ESP]

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting in this community, but I wanted to share my Wednesday walk with my dog Athena. I actually get to walk her every day with her for exercise and her things.

¡Hola a todos! Es la primera vez que publico por esta comunidad, pero quería compartir mi paseo del miércoles con mi perra Atenea. En realidad, con ella tengo que pasear todos los días para que haga ejercicio y sus cosas.

We are lucky to live on the outskirts of the city of Zaragoza (Spain), where there is a little frequented, natural and wild space, which looks like a small forest near the banks of the Gállego river.

This green path covers more than 60km of trails that even today, after years of living here, I'm still discovering.

Tenemos la suerte de vivir a las afueras de la ciudad de Zaragoza (España), donde se encuentra un espacio poco frecuentado, natural y salvaje, que parece un pequeño bosque cerca de la ribera del río Gállego.

Esta senda verde abarca más de 60km de senderos que todavía a día de hoy, después de años viviendo aquí, sigo descubriendo.

In the past, I always walked the same well-known trails with my former dog Cronos. But since he passed away, I have tried to vary my routes a bit and discover new places with Athena. Still, as it will soon be a year since he left, I wanted to come this way today to remember him.

Anteriormente siempre recorría los mismos senderos, ya conocidos, con mi anterior perro Cronos. Pero desde que éste falleció, he intentado variar un poco mis trayectos y descubrir nuevos lugares con Atenea. Aun así, como dentro de poco se cumplirá un año desde que se fue, quise venir hoy por este camino para recordarle.

We reached the other side of the river by crossing another bridge on the side of the road, and we started our trail.

Llegamos al otro lado del río cruzando otro puente por al lado de la carretera, y comenzamos nuestro sendero.

We saw that a log that had fallen a few days ago and was blocking the path had already been cut. It had been down for months and we had to go over it.

Vimos que un tronco que hace unos días había caído y bloqueaba el paso, ya había sido cortado. Estuvo durante meses caído y teníamos que pasar por encima de él.

We continued advancing until we reached where the waterfall was. Right now it was dry. It is an artificial "waterfall" that falls to reach the river.

Continuamos avanzando hasta llegar donde estaba la cascada. Ahora mismo estaba seca. Es una "cascada" artificial que cae para llegar al río.

Remembering a year ago with Cronos

Recordando hace un año con Cronos

Athena was waiting for me on the other side to continue.

Atenea me esperaba al otro lado para continuar.

I love autumn, because of the contrast between the green, yellow and brown leaves.

Me encanta el otoño, por el contraste que hay entre las hojas verdes, amarillas y marrones.

We found more fallen trunks along the way, but as they were not blocking the path, no one has cut them. So nature simply takes its course, the trees again have new branches and the old ones accumulate on the ground, perhaps it will serve some animal to build its home.

Encontramos más troncos caídos por el camino, pero como no bloqueaban el paso, nadie los ha cortado. Por lo que simplemente la naturaleza sigue su curso, los árboles vuelven a tener nuevas ramas y las anteriores se acumulan en el suelo, quizás le sirva a algún animal para construir su hogar.

And we began to enter a part that for a moment seemed like a jungle.

Y empezamos a adentrarnos en una parte, que por un momento parecía una selva.

Finally, we set off on another, wider road to start our return trip.

Finalmente salimos a otro camino más ancho, para emprender nuestro regreso.

Along the way we saw olive trees and fields.

Por el camino vimos olivos y campos de cultivo.

On the way back to the bridge that would take us home, we said goodbye to the river.

De regreso al puente que nos llevaría a casa, nos despedimos del río.

I dedicate this post in loving memory of Cronos(2014-2021), since this was the last walk I was able to do with him. I still love you very much, now and always.

Dedico este post en memoria de Cronos (2014-2021), ya que este fue el último paseo que pude hacer con él. Te sigo queriendo mucho, ahora y siempre.
