RE: Planai Ski Resort, Austria

Despite living an hour and a half from the Pyrenees, I've only been skiing once and I spent a long time on the ground falling, while 5 year olds kids sped past me.
But still, maybe someday I'll go back when I find someone inexperienced like me so I don't make a fool of myself.☺️

The alps must be beautiful, from what I can see in the pictures! And those snow guns sure are a lot of fun!

Well, there are ski schools for both children and adults, even people 50+ learn how to ski. I have a very vague knowledge about the ski resorts in the Perenees and so has my girlfriend. There's a ski resort like 40 minutes far from Madrid, we passed it once on our way to Segovia. It looked really small and not much attractive, though. Plus, there was no snow on December 30 or so.

The snow guns provides artificial snow for the slopes if it doesn't snow for a while. They are portable and could be used once the temperature drops below zero. Being in the snow stream is not really pleasant but the result of theirs definitely is :)
