One of the untouched destinations is the Alue Meuh waterfall, located in Gunci Village, Sawang District, North Aceh Regency, Indonesia.

According to the Gunci website, Alue means small river in Acehnese. While emas means gold. So, it can be freely translated as the golden river waterfall.

Gunci Village is located in the southernmost part of Sawang District, North Aceh, which borders directly with Bener Meriah Regency to the south and Bireuen Regency to the west. With an area of ​​around 15,000 hectares, Gunci is a large village and its nature is also beautiful.

Alue Meuh is located around 70 kilometers from Lhokseumawe City. To reach this location, visitors can go via Jalan Sawang - Krueng Mane which is relatively smooth. At certain points, the road is full of holes and difficult to pass.

The road is 5 m wide, and on the left and right there are many plantation crops such as betel nut, cocoa, and other plants. Because there are still many forests and trees, on the way we still often see birds and other wild animals. This can add to the comfort of the trip.
