Cheerful in the Pine Forest of Batu City |

Batu City in Malang, East Java, is one of Indonesia's top tourist destinations. Bali and Lombok aren't the only tourist destinations. Every city in Indonesia has its own signature destinations. Some are well-managed, while others aren't. Batu City is one of those well-managed natural tourist destinations, so you should definitely visit someday.
Batu City truly has it all. From family-friendly attractions to large theme parks to tranquil healing spots. But there's one side of Batu that's often overlooked by tourists—its pine forests.
In fact, the pine forests in Batu City are just as beautiful as famous natural destinations abroad. For those who enjoy photography, camping, or simply want to sit under tall trees and listen to the sound of the wind and birds, a pine forest in Batu could be the perfect place.

This pine forest tourism is special not only because of its cool and refreshing atmosphere, but also because these places offer a sense of serenity that is sometimes hard to find amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
For people in Indonesia and beyond, there's no need to fly to Europe to get that movie-like vibe; simply head to Batu and experience the beauty of its pine forests for yourself.
It's no wonder some call Batu City "De Kleine Zwitserland" (Little Switzerland). Batu City, located about 20 km from Malang City, is popular for its natural attractions, apple orchards, and man-made recreational parks.

I've long dreamed of vacationing in Batu City, Malang. However, I've never planned a specific vacation. So, when a work event came up in Malang and the committee offered an outbound package in Batu City's pine forest, I eagerly accepted.
In the pine forest, we participated in various activities, including outbound activities, paintball simulations, and various other games. My goal wasn't just to bring you all joy, nor was it simply a lifestyle change, but also to strengthen the camaraderie among those of us who came from various cities across Indonesia.
You know, Indonesia is vast, with 34 provinces and around 400 regencies and cities. We came to represent provinces, regencies, and cities spread from Sabang to Merauke.

We left the hotel early in the morning. It took about an hour to reach the location from our hotel in Malang City. The journey was winding, with steep inclines and declines. Many tourist buses passed along the way.
The pine forest was far from the city center. Once you enter, nature seems to draw you in and make you feel at home. The sun was shining brightly, but it made you feel calm and cool at the same time.
The air in the pine forest was cool and welcoming to European tourists, with temperatures lower than most Indonesian cities. For comparison, the temperature in Lhokseumawe, where I live, can reach 34 degrees Celsius. In the pine forest, it's probably only around 18 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Before engaging in various outdoor activities, we all warmed up in an open field surrounded by pine forests. This is the activity I share here in the lifestyle community. Participating in outdoor activities for various organizations has now become a lifestyle to strengthen cohesion, maintain enthusiasm, and refresh both body and soul.
We warmed up with joy. Time flew by before the sun was directly overhead. We had lunch and were ready to move on to the next activity.
For international tourists, many travel agencies in Malang City are ready to assist if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of the pine forests. Thank you for your support.[]
