How Does Life In the Village Looks Like?

There are times in our lives, where we ought to remember some of the memories we had sometime ago. Life is a process and everything we do or has happened is all part of the process and it does teaches us something.

Who you are is not necessarily about how much you have but appreciating the little thing you have.
To understand people, sometimes you need to be in their shoes. life in the village is totally different from life in the city. I have had most of my years spent in the city. As we all know life in the city as stressful as it may seems present to us many opportunities and advantages over life in the Village or rural areas.
But then, you have ever spent a little at the village, you will indeed have a second thought.

Ultimately, how it feels to live in a village will depend on individual preferences and circumstances. Some people find it to be a peaceful and fulfilling way of life, while others may find it limiting or isolating.

Kindly walk along with me, as I take you through how I spent some days at the village called Saabum.

Saabum is a village in the Ashanti region of Ghana, It's people are mainly farmers. To me is one of the peaceful village in Ghana here.
I was part of a research team that wanted to find out How Life In the Village is Simpler than life in the city.

This is a village with no electricity, no network, poor road network and no transport(you either hire a motor bike from the near by town or board a tractor.)
We spent a full month with the people.
Of course it was challenging initially but going forward we got along with our stay.
Good for us we had a generator that helped us to power our laptops and phones.
What I enjoyed most was the peace and tranquility we had from the nature. This is something which is not normally common in the cities, we don't enjoy the natural environment all in the name of development.

Even though village have limited access to resources like health care and schools but throughout our stay, we never had a case of illness among us. The food they eat is more healthier than in the city.

we prepared our food

And It was not like we didn't want to take or eat their food but we didn't want to be a burden to them so since we were having ladies among us, they were helping us with the cooking and other things.

After spending a month in this village I then realized why we need to be grateful for where we are and be thankful for the little things we have. It was a pleasure for the team to have stayed in this community for our research work. After the month, we had completed with the work and bid farewell to the people. I must say it was nice spending time in this village together with the people. We hope to someday cross path together,

Nice one man.

You participated in a wonderful adventure. I remember a couple of years ago when I also embarked on a similar adventure for research purposes. I spent a month and half there.

Before we set off to the village, most of the students were cursing the school for sending us to places like that. But I’m our second week there many of us started to find that life interesting. And to borrow your words, it’s so PEACEFUL.

It feels as though you are in a different world. Everything is just calm, and completely opposite to the hassle and bustle of the city life.

In all, I will just say the countryside life is an adventure worth taking.
