Hello good evening everyone, another opportunity is here with us to make a little adjustment to our lives.
Tonight I just want to share something which of course might not be familiar with most people around the world. Ghana is among many nations that is well endowed with natural resources, being it from gold, bauxite and the likes, we are not only blessed with these natural resources but talents that can add value to what we have.

Today, as part of my job paid a courtesy call to some selected carvers we have here in Ghana and to my dismay, I was much surprised to see the kind of work they have been doing all this while.
Wood carving is one common work, that is very common to the people of Ahwiaa community, in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
This work has been there since ages and no wonder it has become well known for its creative works.
I personally have not had the chance to know much about how these work is being done.
Meet Mr Nurideen who has been in this work for quite a long time, according to him, he is able to export more of these products than anyone else because of the techno improvement he has enacted for his business. He has purchased a machine that takes care of finishing. He narrated how finishing and polishing was a challenge for him but getting that machine has really improved his work.

There were so many questions in mind, but needed to go straight to the monitoring work I came in for.
All these dolls we see right here were done by them.
Most of these works are exported and that constitutes much of the sales revenue. This means if they are to receive much support from government, this job will fetch government some revenue for the country.
I was much intrigued for the information I had from them. Indeed these arts are eyes catching and needs more attention as well.
They have really improved upon their work especially with finishing and branding as well. They have logos that projects home in Ghana goods to the world and that is very interesting.

Ghana is really endowed and I’m always proud to be a Ghanaian
