The little things, the small details that seem insignificant, are what give beauty and make each walk very special. It just depends on whether we know how to see them.

There are places that I favour for a walk, a hike, a picnic, or simply to have a good time chatting with someone, and this place is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

I think it has everything, or at least everything I like: vegetation, interesting paths to walk along, a vast expanse that offers surprises at every turn, a beautiful artificial lake, very large and extensive, where I can see dancing water jets, birds, especially swans and ducks, and much more.

The surroundings of the large park are harmonious. The buildings nearby are characterised by their white colour, which glistens in the sunlight and refracts everywhere, thus generating more light and spaciousness in the area.

The place is so vast that I can look at the beginning of a walk and not see the end, the perspective becomes very narrow and the landscape seems endless. I love that because it gives me a long walk that may take several days to complete, giving me the opportunity to return and delight in new surprises.

Whenever there is water in a place, I will like it, no matter what form it takes: sea, lake, river, pond, lagoon. I identify with water, with life and emotions, and this place has a lot of that.

The pigeons, which are everywhere, came out to meet me, and each shot, each photo was a different movement.

I wanted to be on their level and be close to them. It is amazing to see their behaviour; they are not afraid of humans.

Walking around the lake is wonderful, both because of the different landscapes that form as I walk, which seem to change with every step, but also because of that water fountain, that jet that rises so beautifully into the sky, as if wanting to leave the earth.

On this walk, I set out to get that perspective from different points around the lake, to walk around that great jet of water and see what mysteries it had to offer me, so the walk became very entertaining.

But of course, there were those who distracted me from my goal, and it was a beautiful distraction: the white swans. A pair of them were on one side of the lake, enjoying the beautiful day, the sun and the water. They were also my point of view, my focus, and the combination with the water jet formed and created some spectacular photographs.

Nowadays, walking and photography have become one and the same for me. I enjoy both, and I love that.

On one side of the park, very close to the lake, there are two paths at different levels. Although I hesitated about which path to take, I remembered that the water and the swans were my focus, so I took the higher path, full of trees from where I could see the lake between the branches and leaves of those trees. Don't you think the views are wonderful? They are like postcards from another world. I like to create mental images, and this one is beautiful.

And the lake did not disappoint me. Taking pictures from that higher path, look who appeared. A beautiful rainbow greeted me with its beautiful colours in the midst of a very light rain created by the falling water and the gentle breeze.

I never took my focus off it and I was rewarded. Concentrating on that focus made me see it and it was wonderful, turning the walk into a multicoloured experience.

On many occasions, the trees wanted to be the stars of the photographs and get my attention, and they succeeded. I love them. Whether from one angle or another, they peeked out.

And this group of treetops was what bid me farewell from the park when I finished my colourful and wonderful walk.
