I’m so glad you discovered that place, because it’s wonderful. Thanks to your post today, I learnt what a primary forest is, the importance of moss and how it works, as well as a bit about lichens, but above all I marvelled at those photographs. I really hope you go back soon, there must be more trails to explore and more things to see. It must be beautiful in autumn with all the different colours.
I hope the fires die down. I reckon you’re over there eating watermelon, a brilliant choice for these sweltering days. Thanks for sharing this gem with us. Big hugs!🤗

Thank you so much @topcomment and @iriswrite!!💗
I explored a small part of this place, which has an extensive network of trails, but I still have images of other spots that I will share later this week. Forests around here have a lot of moss and lichen. They didn't look very important to me before, but then I learned just how vital they are to the forest ecosystem. That watermelon was perfect after walking under the hot sun.
How brilliant!!! I highly recommend the community where I post on Tuesdays... you’ll love it, and do make sure to pin the location on a map. I don’t know if you’re familiar with it. It’s brilliant!
