As in landscapes, a blanket of fog often appears in life that divides situations. What is close to you can be seen clearly, but what is far away is blurred or even perhaps you don't know what is behind it.
It creates an aura of mystery and can even change the colours, tones and lighting of what we see.
Many times it can be enchanting, attractive, but other times it can be scary, fear of the unknown.
In life it is the same, certain events or circumstances can often have a blanket of fog over them, it can overwhelm us and at other times we can glimpse rays of sunshine through it that allow us to see traits of what is behind it.
The important thing to know is that the fog, both in nature and in life, will eventually dissipate and we will be able to see clearly and what might seem threatening will not be so.
The photographs I bring today were taken during a short walk where a beautiful sunset was beginning and the sun was hiding behind a bank of fog that could be seen in the distance.
The nearest flowers and plants were clearly visible, while in the distance the landscape was disappearing behind those low clouds.
But the sun's rays looked beautiful in all this panorama.
I waited for a considerable time for the sun to go down further and cast different shades on the water and in the sky, illuminating the buildings and especially the boats in different ways.
I liked to see how that light intertwined with the boats, forming a special atmosphere. Between romanticism, serenity and warmth.
The reflections of the boats on the water caught my attention and that day the water was moving a bit so they seemed to dance around the boats.
There was a lot of magic then and there. The sun seemed to be bigger than usual, because of the same effect of the fog in the distance and that was wonderful, as if the sun was coming towards me.
It reminded me that, even if we don't realise it, the sun is always there and its light will always illuminate. I found the fog absolutely enchanting that day, drifting between structures, the harbour, the boats and even the sun itself.
