Coolness on special trails for hot days.

There is no better walk on intensely hot days than those where the sun begins to set and recede on trails with so much shade that it seems like night. In those places, it seems that the heat does not reach and time stands still.

Here, it has not been as hot as in other parts of Spain. While the country is burning with suffocating heat, with weather maps showing the peninsula in red, here the air is breathable and there are ideal areas to cool off, rest, especially if there is no air conditioning at home, and enjoy a good walk.

There are places where, even when the sun goes down and because of the thickness of the trees, you have to put on a coat because it's cold.

It's funny, as I often tell my friend in messages about the weather here, I say the following: nothing new under the dome, remembering a series that was called that. The temperature here is stable, although it never rains in summer, there is a lot of humidity and in areas with thick vegetation it is very pleasant.

One of the ideal places to enjoy the air, the climate and nature while taking a spectacular walk surrounded by beautiful views is the entire area around the castles. It's a vast area with numerous paths that I haven't yet explored completely, only the main path and a few others. I don't think I'll do it for now, as I'm afraid of encountering bugs or snakes. But its coolness is beautiful.

And the further we get from the centre, the better the temperature is, as long as we are close to the sea or green spaces.

These trails have so many shady spots that it seems like the sun never reaches them, which is ideal for hot days. Have something cool to drink, eat something light, maybe some fruit (I love fruit), and continue on your way. I usually drink water; I love water.

Yesterday I received a comment from an artist who lives in Sweden, saying: Take good care of yourself and drink plenty of water. I think he was worried about the intense heat, but I'm fine.

These kinds of walks refresh the body, as long as they are done at the right time of day, and they are also a feast for the eyes. In cooler areas, such as picnic spots, people seek refuge from the heat.

In the clearings between the trees, I like to look up at the sky and see if any of my photographs manage to capture a bird in flight, but I don't think I was lucky this time.

I also look down and capture all that beauty in shades of green, all different and all beautiful.

It was also a walk where I was able to take several photographs of shadows, both of nature and of the railings I found along the way. The sun was sinking lower and lower, and the shadows were becoming more and more beautiful, often forming a latticework with the tree trunks.

I found some flowers along the way, most of them tiny, but no less beautiful for that.

Even the rocks seemed interesting to me with their shapes and textures, changing as I progressed along the path.

But in this case, the best places were the dark ones, mysterious and full of vegetation hidden from the sun.

I especially love these walks because of the beautiful views I can find, not only within nature but also in the distant landscapes of the city that appear before me.
