Accompanied by sunshine, white clouds and lots of flowers – The Guadalmedina Riverside Walk.
New places are always popping up in the city, whilst others are being renovated to make them better or more beautiful; that’s what I love about the city, it’s always expanding. As I always say, the city grows as I explore it, and I love discovering new places to have new experiences.

Although I was familiar with this path, it had been a long time since I’d walked along it. It’s relatively new, no more than two years old, but it has changed a great deal since I first saw it. There are more flowers, more shrubs, it’s very well maintained, and now more people are strolling along it, exercising or walking their pets.
After finishing a few things I had left to do, I headed south and decided to visit this promenade, which now has a name: Paseo Fluvial Guadalmedina, as it runs alongside the river of the same name.

It was a sunny day, although there were clouds; but they looked like white cotton pom-poms resting on a pane of glass, making the sky even more beautiful and occasionally casting patches of shade.
That is why I travelled from north to south, and in the distance, high above, I could see those beautiful white clouds amidst the various trees, pines, palm trees and others bearing lovely pink, lilac and even purple flowers. The green, together with the blue of the sky, and the shades of colour that made the white clouds stand out even more, created a perfect composition, like landscapes painted by a nature lover.

As I crossed an avenue, I could see the houses and buildings in the distance, but high above, the trees stood imposing, like the protagonists of a beautiful scene. But the clouds were not to be outdone; they glistened in the bright sunshine, that sun which fills us with energy and gives life, just like water.

How lovely that there is a tree called the tree of love; I love that.

There may be lots of people on a walk, but if I’m focused on nature, nothing else exists. It’s just nature and me.

There were also laurels and flowers in every colour, some a deeper pink, others a softer shade, and some White, all beautiful.

Both the clouds and the flowers played a very important role on this walk; I like to stop, touch the plants, look at the flowers and their colours. How important the sense of sight is, it allows us to appreciate the beautiful things in life, just as the sense of hearing lets us listen to the birds chirping during the walk, like the most beautiful words.
On one side a wide avenue, on the other the River Guadalmedina, and further away some very tall buildings, some of them under construction and with glass facades.

There was also Málaga’s football stadium. As I walked past, I remembered how often I see people walking by wearing the shirt that looks so much like Argentina’s, and I thought about how here it’s a gathering of friends, a family gathering, peaceful and enjoyed without violence… and how different it is on the other side of the ocean, where there are always fights and very ugly things. I was really surprised the first few times I saw people walking by calmly and chatting, but it seemed impossible that they’d just come out of a football stadium.

I walked under bridges with roads running over them, and there were always flowering bushes by my side; I love that, because the city places great importance on green spaces. It’s relaxing to walk like that; even though there are lots of people and cars, the views are beautiful.

A pigeon was right in front of me; I stopped to watch it. Many people don’t like them, but they’re part of nature. I didn’t want to scare it, so I waited for it to fly away.

I always look back.

And ahead, but up above, another pigeon was watching me; it looked so beautiful amidst the clouds.

This flower caught my eye; there were lots of them, in giant bushes forming a hedge.

I looked back again; it’s good to know the path you’ve taken, or the life you’ve lived, so you can look forward again.

The most beautiful things are always ahead, with more paths to explore and journey along.
Thank you very much for joining me on this Wednesday walk. Warm regards to you all. See you soon.

I still haven't gotten over the beauty of the garden photos you shared yesterday, and now I come across these new images from your Wednesday walk. I’m already convinced that you live in a beautiful city, but the passion with which you observe and capture every little detail is what makes what you convey in your Hive posts truly great and special. Bravo, my friend! You are a very special blogger to all of us here! 🙏

There are places that aren’t touristy but still offer wonderful experiences; that’s what I love – having new experiences, and if there’s nature involved, all the better. I was with my mum and she’d never been there before. We took the eye drops for her recently operated eye; she wanted to get out for a bit, so we went for a lovely walk. Thank you very much, Jesús. Hidden corners can be truly beautiful.🤗
Good afternoon @avdesing. I loved this walk under the clouds. I was surprised that there was a tree of love... well, Nature is a good home for love. I also don't understand the hatred that some people feel for pigeons, they are very intelligent little dinosaurs. I love them.
Thank you very much for the ride.
Happy Wednesday.
You know what people say? That they're flying rats and that they spread diseases and blah blah blah... But... they're birds. This is the second time I've come across that tree in the city; I loved it, and the clouds even more!! A walk among the clouds!! Thanks!
I can understand what people say about pigeons, in the city, between garbage and pollution they lose a lot of their splendor. Luckily where I live there is a lot of vegetation and you can see them in their splendor... without some magnificent birds.
You could post some photos of them and talk about them... Pigeons are such a sight to behold; when I hear them... they take me back to the cemetery in Bahía Blanca, which is probably why I associate them with peace. Thanks for the photo!
I can do something about them, now in spring and until autumn there are many around here, some pass by the terrace every day at the same time. The photo needs to be improved... take it better. Although I think all its beauty is appreciated.
As always, thanks for the ride.
Era solo una idea... después la mejoras a gusto!!!
Gracias a vos!
Es una muy buena idea... Te deseo una tarde muy hermosa. 🤗
Igualmente!!! Muy buena tarde!🤗

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing.
The city looks so beautiful, with all that natural beauty; I loved seeing the jacaranda trees covered in blossoms.

Hello Amonet, good day.
Honestly, I'm not surprised that more and more people are walking around this place, as it's truly beautiful. There are so many plants with gorgeous flowers; it must be tempting to take a walk in this part of the city.
What a lovely walk, and so many beautiful plant species—a truly enchanting place for a stroll.
Beautiful photos.
I hope you have a wonderful afternoon.
What I like most is that now, in spring, everything looks lovely with all the flowers, the greenery and the contrast of colours. Thanks, Abi!
How beautiful! 😍😍😍
Just looking at these magical landscapes takes my breath away—imagine if I were actually there. I could spend hours taking in all this beauty.
Adopt me and take me with you, hahaha.
Get in line... loads of you have asked me to adopt them, ha ha ha! If I could, I’d bring them all home!!! I love exploring new places and discovering more and more beautiful spots. Thank you!!!!😘
Thank you so so much @visualshots and @jlinaresp 💗💗💗
Greetings. What a beautiful and pleasant walk. I keep thinking about how much you love photography, because through the lens you manage to capture exactly what your eyes see. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well, but reading about your trip and looking at the photos, it's as if I can almost hear the birds singing.
That’s what I like – sharing my experiences with people and often leaving them with a message. Thank you very much!💗💗
It seems so peaceful and a perfect place just to stroll and empty your head of clutter
It really is, perfect for a long walk!! Thank you very much!🤗
you're welcome

I like the contrast between the classic and the modern architecture. What an amazing coincidence that the Malaga soccer team has similar colours to Argentina. It sounds like fans are passionate in Argentina. Soccer is not so popular here, so matches are usually a calm affair, but once in a while we lose our minds about hockey.
Football is really important both in Argentina and here; I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence about the colours, but I love it, and that photo… I knew you’d like it!
I love glass! 😄
