A walk with diverse energies and cats, music and lots of peace. 🏛
There are special places for walking, such as nature, a park, the shore of a beach, the streets of the city at night when tranquillity reigns. But there are other places that are rarely visited by most people, or perhaps they only visit them for a reason, but not really as a walk.

Instead, I find something between mysterious and enigmatic in these places, something difficult to explain. They are places full of energy, mostly good. Some people are afraid of them, others don't even want to go near them, perhaps because the idea that there are so many dead people there makes them uneasy.
But walking through the streets of this cemetery gave me a feeling of tranquillity, as if it were a holy place, a place of rest, as if the souls were simply sleeping. Only in those cemeteries where tragic events took place, such as executions, did I feel an energy of sorrow and pain, crying mixed with abandonment. ---

But in the historic San Miguel cemetery, the vibe is different; there is a lot of serenity. The day was sunny and there were no people there, which made it even more perfect. Although many people are afraid of these places, I am not. I am used to them. My grandfather took me there when I was three years old, and I never felt afraid or anything like that. On the contrary, I felt that there was more peace in those places than anywhere else.
I feel people's energies, but when it comes to a cemetery, I feel the collective energy of those who rest there. I think that's what conveys such peace.

In one of the cemetery's streets, there was a special place full of vegetation with a large sign dedicated to Eduardo Ocón y Rivas, founder of the city's music conservatory and pioneer of Spanish musical nationalism. It was a truly beautiful tribute to this important person. It seemed as if the leaves on the trees were moving with the breeze, composing a symphony.
Walking slowly through the streets was very beautiful and relaxing, and I emphasise this, despite it being a cemetery. As there were no people around, I was able to observe every space, every corner, every nook and cranny.

And as I walked and wandered, I met friends, cat friends, most of them black. I have no idea why most of them were black, but I loved meeting them on my way. They were resting in the street or on the graves. Some of them simply studied me and followed me with their gaze, as if analysing me, as a new visitor to the place.
They didn't run away, nor were they scared. I know that they are an intense connection between planes, and I even know that they see things that we living beings do not see, things that belong to other places and even to the dead. I have proven from my own experience that they are magical and special, and I believe that is why many of them are in cemeteries.

Every street, every corner revealed new buildings, most of them well maintained, despite the cemetery's age. It is the city's historic cemetery, where there are graves dating back more than 100 years. Guided tours are available both during the day and at night. For the latter, you have to sign up in advance, and they are only held a few times a year. I wouldn't be afraid to go on one of them.
The streets were also well maintained, with trees everywhere, and at times I felt like I was in a village, a village of souls.

Pine trees rose up from time to time between mausoleums and pantheons, between niches and tombs.
Events are also held there, such as concerts and even art exhibitions in the cemetery chapel. I hope to attend one of these events soon. There are so many places to go that it's hard to decide. I like everything, and I loved this walk. A sunny day with good energy, peace in the air, a gentle breeze and cats as the best company I could ask for. I knew they were watching me from afar, as if they knew how I felt being there.

A large cross awaited me in the distance, standing beautifully in the middle of the street.

And my journey ends in a beautiful place, a fountain with water lilies. Next to it, a sign contained a beautiful poem by Serafín Estébanez Calderón called ‘El solitario’ (The Lonely One). The end of the poem reads: Only I am missing: a mournful neighbour with a lamp and a cross covers my grave.
A very different Wednesday walk, but I loved it. Thank you very much for joining me. Best regards. See you soon.

This cemetery is a city in itself... It offers so many opportunities for great photographs! Thank you for allowing us to appreciate its details!
Big hugs!
It is a very interesting tour and the architecture is wonderful. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much @qurator and @ewkaw!!💞
So many are afraid of the dead, but the truth is, there's no reason to be afraid, the living are far more dangerous.
I remember I had a series about local cemeteries years ago, we even have a community for this, run by Melinda.
I always say the same thing!!! Plus, I love cemeteries!!! I'll look for that community, it's going to be great!
🎉🎉🥳 Congratulations 🥳🎊🎊
Your post has just been curated and upvoted by @Ecency , keep up the good work !
Thank you so much @stresskiller and @ecency 🤗
I would not be afraid of the dead. But I might get claustrophobic. The pics make it seem like the spaces are so closed in. The black cat might creep me out a little if it caught me off guard.
However, in wide open cemeteries, I would have no issues walking in them. In fact many people used to walk in the ones in my home town.
Well, I really enjoy it... and I go alone! I have a black cat.😆
Cemeteries wouldn't freak me out. It is the above ground tombs and how close they are. I would feel so closed in I think. Oh, I don't mind black cats. It's just running into one in a cemetery might give me the creepers a little. We used to have a black cat as well. His name was Shadow.
I got used to going to cemeteries when I was very young... I think that's why I see it as normal. Besides... I see things, ha ha ha.
I have too. Just not ones with above ground tombs like those. I even spent time walking in them as well. Glad I don't see things. I wouldn't want to.
I don't recommend watching certain things... some are too intense.
Wow, this cemetery is full of art and its architecture is beautiful. You're right, few people see it as a place to stroll, but it's certainly very interesting and full of mystery and memories. This one in particular looks like an entire village.
I just love mysteries... I find them fascinating! Thank you very much!
Hello, dear friend @avdesing, good day!
Looking at the pictures, I can feel the positive energy you mentioned; it looks truly peaceful and pleasant.
I love the architecture of the cemeteries and the strong presence of nature.
Thank you so much for sharing this walking experience.
Have a happy Wednesday!
Although it may seem crazy, a walk around this place is very relaxing. And if there are cats, even better! Thank you very much!
Hello Amonet, how are you?
I don't usually like cemeteries, although my grandfather told me there are several in the city that I'm going to love.
This cemetery you're showing us is beautiful and looks really peaceful.
From what I can see in the photos, it was a peaceful and lovely walk.
Have a wonderful day!
Don't be afraid, I always say you should be more afraid of the living than the dead. It would be a great experience! Thank you very much!
Such beautiful buildings, the dead possess. Here in Sweden we don't have that. We have parks with tombstones and sometimes small buildings on high places. I love the cobblestone streets!
It's the historic cemetery, then there's another one on the outskirts of town that I haven't been to yet... still on my to-do list! Thank you very much!
There are always felines to keep you company. And that cemetery is very well preserved, which to me is deeply meaningful because it shows that the legacy of the people of Málaga—their history, culture and idiosyncrasy—is respected there. How wonderful that it is also a place for pictorial and musical art. Sending you a hug.
You know, I love cemeteries... they could also be places for invisible stories, but cats... they're always there, and art! Thank you!
😉
Incredible and beautiful place. The sunlight does wonder for turning what can be a somber experience into a luminous one.
You couldn't have said it better, it was a great experience!!!
Good afternoon @avdesing. A very interesting walk among the tombs. I like the tranquility of the place, the light, and also that there are shady spots to escape the sun's rays.
I saw lizards, water, and water lilies... I missed seeing butterflies.
I hope you're enjoying a lovely day.
To see butterflies... please go to the other side, ha ha ha ha, just kidding! That fountain is beautiful, I loved finding it and the place... I have to come back, I love it! Thank you very much!
🤣🤣 Don't worry, I don't mind going to the other side. I have to tell you, the fountain fascinated me... besides, I didn't expect to find a fountain in the cemetery, much less one like this. 😍
Great post, my dear 🐦⬛
And you know I love fountains!!! And butterflies, cats, nature, flowers! Thank you again!
I didn't know that... thanks for telling me, I would never have thought of it.😅
Gracias!!!
🤣 Thank you to you!!!!🤗👋
See you tomorrow!! 🤗👋
Hasta mañana! 🤗👋
