A walk through the past and its vestiges.
Is it possible to travel back in time and walk along its paths? Perhaps it is.
At the right time and in the right place I believe you can, you just have to find the portal that will take you to that past.
The afternoon was sunny and the huge, thin, tall palm trees leaned over to point me to the right place, always look for the signs in nature.
A large building materialised before me, one that contained the gateway to that beautiful walk through a distant past.
Imposing before my eyes, it was there waiting for me to cross the threshold.
Without realising it, I was in another place, another space and even another colour in the atmosphere, like those films that have a different tonality indicating the passing of time.
I must have gone back a long time because the pots I saw were not from my time and many were in poor condition, but I think someone had taken care to keep them alive and not to lose them. They were large and beautiful.
Two angel-like figures were waiting for me in a strange doorway, although these figures were a bit chequered, they had been petrified in beautiful mosaics and not tea faded in some parts. Was it just an illusion?
But on my way I met two heads, yes, just heads, but they spoke to me of ancient times and the battles I had overcome. They advised me to continue on my way to avoid their enemies pursuing me. I wondered where I was at that moment.
When I looked up, the scene changed completely, I think that's what time portals do. This time the people in the scene were concentrating on a dinner, an old dinner, I didn't want to disturb them, besides I wasn't hungry.
In a small room I could see different utensils and objects of that time, the beauty was very great, the colours, the shapes and the state of preservation... I forgot that I had been transported to the past. The people of that place must have taken very good care of them.
How much art, detail and passion there is in these items, I was so amazed to see them.
A strange map indicated something to me, but I wasn't sure what it was, but I took a screenshot in case I needed it later on in this journey.
When I saw this beautiful building I wanted to go inside, it looked so shiny and old, I wanted to know what it was. I thought it might be the old Roman theatre of the city and now I saw it as it was in ancient times.
I think I became small, very small, because the columns became big in front of me and I could see the inside of the facilities.
Little by little I walked around the place, between those columns, and I said to myself, how lucky I am to be able to see this great building inside and enjoy it.
I walked through this ancient city and the landscapes were changing, this building was different and people seemed to live there, I didn't want to be seen and I passed quickly.
But someone from that place saw me and invited me to enter his house, very kindly he showed me the paintings he had hanging on his wall. Some paintings with a style that reminded me that in my present time I had done similar things, just inspired by what I saw. When I saw them, present and past came together.
The very kind lady, as I said, invited me to sit in a beautiful armchair with fantastic decorations, I admired it first and praised the decoration of her house.
His most precious treasure was this carved piece of furniture, the wood was solid and the carving was very precise with beautiful drawings.
The furniture in his house was in perfect condition... but of course, I was in the wrong period.
Some beautiful vases or pots were the most striking thing in that home, the ornamentation and the workmanship showed what a great job they had done.
As I passed by the bathroom I could see a marble bathtub, that was amazing, very elegant and unique.
He recommended me to continue visiting the place and especially the monuments that were being built at that time. I thought, without telling him, how wonderful, I will see the construction of places that in my time are already in ruins.
Again the past and the present came together and I could see and be present at historical moments of construction.
The builders and the style of the time made it fashionable to use mosaics for decorations, and I could see how they applied many of them on the walls.
I found what looked like a cave or shelter and because I had become small I was able to enter and get a better look at the structure, it was fascinating.
On the way I met a giant, well maybe it wasn't a giant, but I was small. He was carrying a child in his arms and told me that I would find more of the mosaics that I like so much later on. I thanked him and continued on my way, greeting the child beforehand.
I arrived at the appointed place and what I saw seemed amazing, not only mosaics, but carvings of a great singularity.
Some women were walking around and allowed me to take pictures of them, although they told me they didn't know what pictures are. I kept silent and continued on my way before I was discovered.
I noticed that these ladies were praying to Christ, just as they were passing by a church.
Then I found myself near a cemetery, I think it was a cemetery and its entrance was gleaming.
I didn't want to stop there too long, but I was surprised by the coffins there. Also the inscriptions on them.
It seems that people left offerings to their dead in very decorative and brightly coloured vases. But there were also many other things, all of which were of unparalleled beauty.
I felt the time travel fading away, I began to see ruins and objects that were lost.
I returned to my time happy to have made this very special journey and walk through centuries past and to see in person that life, talk to its people and take pictures.
Or was it just a dream, who knows, but I enjoyed it very much.
I hope you enjoyed this walk through one of the sectors of the Customs Museum of Malaga, it is impressive.
Thanks to all of you for joining me on this journey, best regards to all and see you next time.

Thank you!!
I love Roman history and also the Gauls who were in Spain and France long before the Romans. Bronze Age period. This period was rich in innovation and refinement in art and poetry. Thank you for this pleasant visit
Thank you very much to you, the story is beautiful and so are the things we have left of it. Thank you very much!
Objects that have survived 2000 years of history are not nothing.
It's true!
That's why they said.
Most are time you need to focus and listening to yourself.
Exactly, thank you very much for your comment!😃
What a beautiful city, full of cultural spaces, I always enjoy your visits to the museums there.
It's true, visiting the Customs Museum is like traveling back in time, it is impossible not to see all this so old, that your mind will be transported to remote times.
Beautiful photographs, enjoy each one of them dear friend @avdesing
have a beautiful afternoon
It's the biggest museum, I need several days to visit it, the first time I went at night, now it's daytime... I have a few days left. I love it! Thanks @jlufer 😃
In my city there are not many museums, and those that do exist are small spaces.
I imagine visiting this place, with how much you like art, like a child in a candy kiosk
I hope you come back soon
It's the same for me, there's so much to see that I don't know where to start. I hope to do another section next week and it's free!
indeed a walk back in time with some cool sculptures and sights
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Have a great day :)
It is always a great pleasure, I love art and history and my walks through museums give me great satisfaction. Thanks to you!😃

When I saw it I thought it was amazing and weird, I loved it! Thank you so much!😃
An impressive walk, I enjoyed walking through ancient cities; and a lesson: everything can become a story. A big hug @avdesign
I love stories, and walks sometimes give me the opportunity to let my imagination run wild and go to unknown worlds. Thank you!😀
🤗
hahaha I am always hungry I loved all the dishes and tableware in this great place.
Did you see what beautiful dishes? I couldn't believe how they were painted, I love them. Thank you Monica!❤️
Gracias Gloria!✨
