A walk through energies, the past, and memories.

I have always been fascinated by cemeteries. I don't know if it's because my grandfather took me to the one in my hometown when I was only three years old, or if it's because of the energies and what I perceive in those places of rest for souls.

20251007_180730.jpg

The truth is that I have been going to them since I was a child, initially accompanying my family to visit the graves of loved ones, including many I never knew, and then when I moved to another country, I visited the cemeteries in the city, but in these cases it was simply for pleasure.

Normally, walking in a place like this gives me a lot of peace, and I say normally because only once, when I visited a particular cemetery, did I feel pain, anguish, and sorrow, as if the souls of the people there had suffered, and indeed they had.

20250331_165617.jpg20250331_165846.jpg

The truth is that I feel those energies; they are in the air. If you pay attention, not to your mind but to what you feel, in that case, it was as if my heart was being squeezed. But on this walk, I felt the opposite: a lot of positive energy, peace, tranquility.

I know that many people don't like cemeteries, but for me they have a special attraction, I suppose because of what I said earlier. I walked through the streets of this historic cemetery, thinking about other times, since the people who are here belonged to the great and famous families of the city, families of yesteryear, many of whom had family mausoleums.

But as I also like art and architecture, I couldn't help but look around at every turn. I walked in silence because practically no one goes to this cemetery, as the more modern one is located on the outskirts of the city, which I have not yet visited.

20250331_171720.jpg

20250331_171750.jpg

I could see beautiful architecture everywhere, in the designs of the mausoleums, the tombs, and even the niches. And not only that, but also the decorations they put on everything.

20250331_171827.jpg

20250331_171838.jpg

It was a quiet walk, with slow steps, a leisurely stroll. There was so much to see around me and so many streets with their names that I didn't want to miss anything. Of course, the place is huge, and I only covered part of it this time because every detail was worth seeing.

20250331_171431.jpg

The day was very sunny, and I could see even the small doors under the tombs, which caught my attention. I had never seen that before, and it was both novel and disturbing, as if some spirit could come out through them. I suppose it's the same place, but at night it would be a totally different experience. I think they allow visitors to enter at night a few times a year.

20250331_171658.jpg

20250331_171511.jpg

The walls are full of niches that act as a barrier to sunlight, and in contrast, there are many green spaces, pine trees, and a clean, tidy, and well-preserved environment. To think that this place is over 100 years old and has historical status means that there is a lot to talk about it and what it means.

20250331_171645.jpg

20250331_171735.jpg20250331_171946.jpg

The fact that it was a sunny day made the inscriptions and decorative details stand out more, but at the same time I thought about what this same place would look like during the day, but with fog. I thought about all these things as I walked up and down the streets. At the same time, I felt a sense of serenity on my walk, as if time had stopped in this place from the past.

I remembered my childhood walks through the streets of that cemetery on the outskirts of the city where I was born, holding my grandfather's hand. I think that's why I associate it with something good, because he was such a good man and I felt no fear when holding his hand. So this walk and many others that I will surely take in places like this will be the same.

At the end of my walk, a new sign of rest and peace appeared before me. Cats were resting in the sun on several graves, while others were in the shade. They say that cats are magical and act as a link between planes, and I believe it. I see it in their eyes, which is why they are so special to me, like no other animal.

It has been a beautiful, special walk, full of peace and memories. Thank you for accompanying me. Best regards to all, see you soon.
Amonet.

I like cemeteries as well. These places hold a lot of history, as well as art, in some places. Unfortunately in my country the communist regime had been working on destroying as many as they could, to erase the past and rewrite it. Also private property was very limited and tombs had not been allowed, so the tombs and the tombstones that were made before these barbarous people came to power, are different and really amazing. I used to post about stones and tombs, I think I had quite a lot of posts in 2018 I think.

These on your photos are real work of art and I wish i had time to visit the oldest and most famous cemeteries in each city I visited.

For me, they have a special charm. This cemetery was created in the 19th century and is enormous! Taking photographs while walking through its streets was a great experience. There is so much art and history, and I love that! Thank you very much!🤗

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing

I don't think there's a more peaceful place to take a walk than a cemetery. I'm planning a visit to one of them.

What a charming cemetery! I really like the architecture and the natural presence.

Thank you so much for sharing this walking experience in this beautiful place.

Have a beautiful day.

Hello Amonet, how are you?

My grandfather likes cemeteries. He's been promising us a long time that we'll visit them. Honestly, they scare me, but if the one in my city is like this one, I honestly wouldn't mind.

This place looks so beautiful and peaceful.

Have a lovely afternoon.

Don't be afraid, sometimes you have to be more afraid of the living, the dead don't do anything, relax! Thank you very much!

Hello @avdesing, it seems clear that cemeteries are places visited by cats or witches, I don't know if you saw any.

I appreciate this walk so full of emotions, memories of a place full of light, vegetation, and silence. An ideal place to stop, put aside automatisms, and ground yourself.

A big hug. 🤗

Hi ;)

Cats, a powerful presence for someone as intuitive as you. Cemeteries are fascinating places, and everyone experiences them differently, but I can tell you that the words stillness and silence are distinctive. Let me call on @grindle, who’s created a community for this kind of cemetery visits. I highly recommend it.

In my case, I have often seen cats walking around, but this is the first time I have seen them lying down resting. You can tell they are calm. I am fascinated by cemeteries; they have a special appeal, like immense peace. Thank you very much!🤗

For me too, I don't like waking to the cemetery,it gives me goosebumps and I get scared😆. Maybe because I'm not used to it hehw. Anyway, I like the design of the cemetery - it's architectural.
