A small, secluded beach, a little paradise – La Fábrica beach 📷 Malaga – Spain
Every little place in nature can be considered a paradise, depending on the eyes with which we look at it and whether we know how to see the beauty and the good things in each space.

When I thought I had reached the end of the city, on its eastern side, I was mistaken. The city goes on and on, and I want to explore every part of it.
On that occasion, when I was at Peñón del Cuervo beach, which I still consider to be the most beautiful, paradisiacal and brilliant beach in Malaga, I came to a tunnel, went through it and thought I could see a village in the distance, and I said to myself: This is the last beach in the city. That was not the case. When, some time later, I started to study the map again, I realised that there was more to explore. So, a while ago, I decided to take a trip to the eastern end of Malaga.

What I thought was a village was actually just another neighbourhood of the city, but very far from it, and the same thing happens on the western side. The last neighbourhoods used to be villages, but the city expanded so much that it added them to the map.
The truth is that between Peñón del Cuervo and the neighbourhood of La Araña, which also has a beach of the same name that I have not yet visited, there is a small dark sand beach called La Fábrica. It is less than 400 metres long and has very gentle waves.

To get there, I went through the Canadians' tunnel, also called the Spider Tunnel, and after walking a good distance along a path, I came to the beach, which was deserted. I only saw one person walking on it.
In the distance, I could see some buildings, houses and also the tower of Las Palomas which, together with the Yacimientos Arqueológicos de la Araña Interpretation Centre, make up a place to learn about the archaeology and history of the area. But on this occasion, I didn't get that far, which tells me that the city goes on for quite a bit longer.
I should point out that I have to cover this whole part of the city on foot, as there are no city buses. By the time I reached the tunnel, I had already walked for more than 45 minutes from the last bus stop.

The beach is called La Fábrica (The Factory) because it is next to the city's large cement factory, which has been in operation since 1915 and continues to this day. Walking towards the beach, I had the factory on my left and could see its immensity and the large area of land it occupies.
The place is very quiet, as there is a road nearby but not many houses, and apart from the factory, there is not much noise, making it an ideal place to walk and then go down to the beach and enjoy the serenity of the place and the gentle waves.

In this area of the Mediterranean Sea, you can smell the sea more and the water is much bluer than at the beach in the city centre, possibly because it is a more unspoilt beach without tourism. I love enjoying these places away from everything and everyone.
At the end of the beach, I saw a beach bar, which was closed at the time. Normally, beach bars, especially those further away, close their doors when the summer season ends. But this place is known for the quality of its fish, as it is a neighbourhood, along with others nearby, that is dedicated to fishing.
I also saw some interesting rock formations. I spent a while there admiring the views and then resumed my walk, heading back towards Peñón del Cuervo.

But this time I decided to take another path, one that is much higher up and from which I could enjoy incredible views of the beach.

In addition, there were many places to sit, rest, enjoy the shade and even have a picnic. This path was next to the road. The sun was going down and the shadows of the palm trees were cast on the sand. A dreamlike and beautiful place.

I walked along that path, which led me to a rocky area, where I was struck by the formations and how the sun made those rocks look very yellow.

Many cats were hiding in the holes in the rocks, but when I turned my head and looked the other way, I could see the immensity of the beach and the sea again. Pure beauty.

I descended the path and returned to Peñón del Cuervo, to continue my exploration of the city another time, discovering more amazing places. I recommend this beach for those who like tranquillity and solitude.
Thank you very much for joining me today, I send you my best regards. See you soon.

Wow, Malaga is beautiful, and this tour you're doing to get to know the city and bring us photos of each area takes us there so we can enjoy this location. La Fábrica beach is beautiful, secluded, and the color of its sea is a deep blue that enchants.
There is so much to explore, and we hope you do it soon so we can continue to learn about it.
That's exactly what I've been looking for since I moved here: to get to know every part of the city and, of course, bring it here. Thank you very much!🤗

Good morning, Amonet.
It's true, any corner of nature can be paradise, depending on your perspective, and your city has many idyllic spots.
I think your walk was worthwhile, since you discovered some beautiful places. I loved seeing the enormous factory and how many years it's been operating. All the beaches in your city are beautiful; this one looks very peaceful.
Beautiful photos.
Have a wonderful afternoon!
Imagine, it's over 100 years old. I always find history everywhere, even near the beach. Many thanks!
Good morning, @avdesing.I thought you had realized that Malaga never ends, that it is infinite. Very beautiful photos of the first beach, ah! and you went through the spider tunnel...? I never thought you would do something like that. And how strange that it is the beach that is called "The Factory" and not the other way around, that the factory is called "The Beach"... strange, strange...
The final photos are great... I smell saltpeter and hear the waves.
A very big hug.
Si atravesé las arañas... digo el túnel y bueno... se llama así, busqué carteles y eso decía jajaja
Cerca hay una reserva de gatos! Ya la traeré!! Muchas gracias!
Very good, well we will have to see those images of the cat reserve. An animal that is two (Gato y araña) 🤣
Thanks to you for the ride.
Good day. 🤗
