A creative walk without rules, which awakens sensations.

The streets of the city are always open to art and a walk with that in mind and so many doors that open to creativity give way to experience sensations.

I like walking through the diverse streets of the city, learning new names, seeing new hidden corners, alleyways, shops, and above all when I see a new art gallery I love it.

Many streets have galleries and many are well hidden, but I already know the location of several of them, so sometimes I walk through known places to discover a new artist and find surprises.

Walking down a narrow street I saw that the chamber of commerce, which is part of the city council, had its doors open and that there was a new art exhibition. It had been a long time since there had been anything new to do with art there and I decided to go in.

Several artists were exhibiting in one of the halls, with very different and contrasting themes. Different creators of art, different techniques, different approaches, but in short, all creators, all artists. There was no homogeneity in the works, but they were all marvellous in their style.

Modern works of art with new tendencies and different visions, depending on the artist, which means that each one of them inspires us with something different, different sensations or opinions.

At first I saw three works that seemed to be from everyday life, digital photographs of normal people, everyday life itself, but the photographs were in sepia tones or very dark, giving the sensation of the past. The artist's name is Virginia Rota.

20250408_190725.jpg

20250408_190733.jpg

The next works I found on one side of the room, at one end, I found them quite interesting, because they reminded me of old frames I had in my house and the works they contained were very beautiful despite being dark. They seem to be a mixture of writings with various figures, including human figures. The artist's name is Sara Sarabia.

20250408_190752.jpg

20250408_190800.jpg

The realism of the works painted on wood was very good. Painted leaves that looked like photographs, but were not, and very brightly coloured. The artist's name was Ignacio Tapia.

20250408_190807.jpg

20250408_190744.jpg

20250408_190818.jpg

The same artist had also exhibited works of skulls in oil on wood and these were very well done. I think they were among the works that I liked the most because of their execution and the difficulty of doing this type of painting.

20250408_190823.jpg

On the other side of the room I saw works that were more modern or made with other techniques and equally beautiful.

20250408_190841.jpg

20250408_190916.jpg

First of all these two works by Evelyne Rigaud, black and white mosaics which I liked very much, large works which I imagined for a living room. They stood out in the room.

20250408_190857.jpg

20250408_190848.jpg

In the corner on that side I could see two little men standing on structures and I think they were chewing cicle. The works were called Oxygen 1 and 2 by the artist Cayetano Romero and were made in ceramic, acrylic, polychrome pencil, glass and metal base. I loved the variety of materials and that they had a style that differed from the rest being original sculptures.

20250408_190922.jpg

20250408_190928.jpg

Another of my favourite works by the same artist, "Paseante", a man walking on a log, was made in ceramic, wood and graphite. Maybe the man was crossing an imaginary river... I don't know, but he was going somewhere.

20250408_190941.jpg

20250408_190948.jpg

This last work, also by the same artist, was a bit curious, where it seemed to be a head on a plate, at least that was the first thing I saw. It is called Lanado and is made in ceramic and polychrome pencil. The plate was quite damaged... what do you say? What do you think it means?

20250408_191614.jpg

I loved this walk, on a beautiful afternoon with a radiant sun, although the sun was already going down.

20250408_191638.jpg

20240402_191427.jpg

After leaving the gallery I crossed the constitution square and went with my companion to have a delicious and frothy café con leche which I enjoyed enormously, making the walk end spectacularly.

Thank you very much for joining me on this Wednesday walk, I send you my best regards. See you soon.
Amonet.

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing

Walking through the streets of your city is an adventure. Always discover places like this filled with art to see.

How curious! At home, we also had frames like these for the large photographs in the living room. They always caught my attention.

All the works presented are beautiful and very striking, especially the head on the plate. I have no idea what its meaning is.

Beautiful photographs.

Hello Amonet, good morning.

I love seeing how many art venues there are in your city. These exhibits are beautiful. I like the variety of art.

I also think that person is crossing an imaginary river over a rustic bridge.

The coffee looks delicious.

Have a beautiful day.

Beautiful exhibition enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee. I like how you framed this particular shot to encompass the different pieces of art in the space.

Hi @avdesing, I will tell you that I liked so much the work of Evelyne Rigaud, those mosaics look wonderful to me and I also really liked Cayetano Romero.

About the head resting on that broken plate..... It suggests to me memory and fragility, and an eternal return, I tried to read the text, but the phrases seemed to me more a wrapping of things said than something with a literal sense.

The truth is that I really liked this Wednesday's walk. Thank you.

Hello Amonet, interesting Wednesday walk. I really like group exhibitions. You can find in the same space many different ways of doing and saying...they never disappoint. Lanado is a work that I would love to know the "why" of its author. I think it will have as many interpretations as there are eyes looking at it. The text written on it must have a special meaning, I could read only a few words. That the plate is upside down also has its readings. It may be that only knowledge will save you from being "eaten". Or that even if your ideas "cut off" your head they will persist. In short, .... is an infinite game. Thanks for the artistic journey. A hug 🤗.

Malaga is a great city for finding exhibitions, of course, and you are very good at doing that. I liked the most the works of Sara Sarabia, and also the man walking on the log 👌

You know, when I arrived I couldn't spend my two years of savings on sightseeing, because in six months my family was coming... and at the beginning we lived on that, so I tried to find all the art galleries and museums for free. I discovered that it is the city with the most museums per person in the world. Love that! Thank you!

Thats a way to relax at the end of the day, I dont know a thing about art but I do love coffee 😅 . In my country there are some art museums and I like it better when art is strange and different something that makes you imagination fly a bit

i love museums because it reminds me of ancient times, without museums im notaware of my history. its really adventurous to have a tour at a museum, you will knew a lot, and you will be surprise to uncommon things that you think didn't exist. but those are very impressive artwork, the artist has a very imaginative mind

It is true that museums tell things and that is important, even the artists' points of view, thank you very much!

(Edited)

There seems to be a meeting point between some artists and that is writing over the work. I like it... about the one you ask about in a particular way I'll tell you that I've been reading for a while what the artist wrote there. I can't make sense of the text as a whole, but I saw words like mirror, health, enclosed, words, time... I think that from the words you find you can create a story with that work of art. I have created my own story.

By the way, I feel like eating something nice, ice cream with cake. And then I'll go to sleep... but I don't have ice cream and cake, so I'll go to sleep anyway.

Your walks among works of art are always very interesting, Amonet.

I liked this time to ask some questions to interact, and it is interesting that with certain words to build stories... gives ideas!!!! Have a good rest!
