Weekend Engagement prompt - 300 Years Plus on Earth

My choice for this weeks prompt is, If you could live to the age of 300 years old would you want to, knowing everyone you know would be dead a couple hundred years before you? Explain.
So Yeah the conversation always comes up and even movies and shows have been made about this very question, people imagine what it would be like if they could live far longer than we do today or in some movies, if they could live forever . What if I could live to be 300 years old? Not in a science fiction story, but in real life. Damn and The catch, however, is that everyone, naturally of course that i know would likely pass away long before you. You would watch generation after generation come and go while you continue living.
At first of course the idea sounds exciting. Imagine having centuries to learn new skills, travel the world(if you can afford it), read every book you ever wanted, and see how technology and society evolve. I could witness history unfold in ways no human has ever experienced before. But when you really stop to think about it, the picture becomes far less appealing.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to live that long. The main reason is simple, loss and i feel like it would after some time become boring. I was reminded of loss, recently when my uncle passed away. Losing him hurt deeply. I cried my eyes out, and it took time to even process that he was gone. he was the first person i lost that i really felt the loss, i cant imagine going through that multiple times for over 300 years.
Living to 300 years would mean watching your parents pass away, then your siblings, your friends, the love of your life, and eventually even your children and grandchildren. And after them, their children too. Over and over again. Each time forming new relationships only to lose those people as the decades pass. This is why the idea of immortality or something close to ithas often been described as a curse rather than a blessing. Stories throughout history, movies, shows and literature are filled with characters who live forever but eventually regret it.

Another thing that makes the idea uncertain is the future itself. Living three centuries means facing three centuries of change. But then again what if those changes are not good ones?, what if a war happens in your country or some apocalyptic nightmare scenario happens? Looking at the direction the world sometimes seems to be heading with conflicts, environmental problems, economic uncertainty, it’s hard to say whether living that long would actually be enjoyable.
Would I be rich after all those years?, this is a very important aspect I guess. Would society even function the same way? Would the world be peaceful, or would it be full of chaos? No one really knows. The future could hold amazing progress, but it could also bring challenges we cannot yet imagine. Spending three hundred years in a world that becomes increasingly difficult might not be something I would personally want.
There is also a spiritual aspect to my answer and it is that as a religious person, I believe life is meant to have a beginning, a purpose, and an end. We are meant to live our lives, do the best we can, love the people around us, and then move on when our time comes. That natural cycle gives life meaning, it gives purpose to want to do things. If life stretched endlessly, that sense of adventure and creativity might disappear.
So if someone offered me the chance to live to 300 years old, my answer would still be no, maybe like 60 to 70 years though(in peace please, very important).
