Greetings, fellow photography lovers! I hope you are very well and that it is a nice day for all.

A few days ago I went to the Virgilio Barco Library and every time I visit it I feel attracted by its imposing architecture and the way it integrates with the environment. On this occasion, I activated my cell phone camera with the intention of capturing the reflections that transform the structure into a visual spectacle. Today I want to share these photos in a new photographic collection that I have titled Reflections of Architecture.

Upon arrival, I took a moment to observe. The surrounding water becomes a canvas where the building doubles, creating an almost perfect symmetry that mesmerizes the eye. With my cell phone in hand, I began to play with the angles.

Hace unos días fui a la Biblioteca Virgilio Barco y cada vez que la visito me siento atraída por su imponente arquitectura y la manera en que se integra con el entorno. En esta ocasión, activé la cámara de mi celular con la intención de capturar los reflejos que transforman la estructura en un espectáculo visual. Hoy quiero compartir estas fotos en una nueva colección fotográfica que he titulado Reflejos de arquitectura

Al llegar, me tomé un momento para observar. El agua circundante se convierte en un lienzo donde el edificio se duplica, creando una simetría casi perfecta que hipnotiza la mirada. Con mi celular en mano, comencé a jugar con los ángulos.

The first frame I captured showed the library reflected in the water with astonishing clarity. It looked like a drawing traced on glass. So I decided to take advantage of the play of light and movement that were perfect that day to explore different perspectives.

At another point, I approached the edge of the pond and looked for a composition in which the trees surrounding the library were also reflected. The combination of the solidity of the concrete and the softness of the water, along with the green and blue tones, provided a harmonious contrast. In some shots, I waited for a visitor to walk along the edge to add a human element to the photo.

I spent a long time fascinated by the reflections, discovering new shapes in every movement of the water and every change in daylight. As I reviewed the photographs, I felt that I had managed to capture the essence of the place and the beauty in every corner of this beautiful space that blends with the environment and invites us to look with different eyes.

El primer encuadre que capturé mostraba la biblioteca reflejada en el agua con una claridad asombrosa. Parecía un dibujo trazado sobre un cristal. Así que decidí aprovechar el juego de luz y movimiento que eran perfectos ese día para explorar distintas perspectivas.

En otro momento, me acerqué al borde del estanque y busqué una composición en la que los árboles que rodean la biblioteca también se reflejaran. La combinación de la solidez del concreto y la suavidad del agua, junto con los tonos verdes y azules, ofrecía un contraste armonioso. En algunas tomas, esperé a que algún visitante caminara por el borde para añadir un elemento humano a la foto.

Pasé un largo rato fascinada por los reflejos, descubriendo nuevas formas en cada movimiento del agua y cada cambio en la luz del día. Al revisar las fotografías, sentí que había logrado capturar la esencia del lugar y la belleza en cada rincón de este hermoso espacio que se funde con el entorno y nos invita a mirar con otros ojos.

Photography is a way to feel, touch and love something or someone.
When you capture something with a camera you do it forever.... reminds us of little things, long after we've forgotten everything.
