On the road to Guatavita, landscapes to love

On our recent trip to Guatavita, I was amazed by the beauty of the landscape. I took so many pictures that I have to make several posts to show you all of them. On the outbound trip, the road gradually enveloped us in an environment full of green hills and majestic mountains. The sky was clear, with an intense blue, which contrasted perfectly with the vibrant greenery that appeared at every turn of the road. In the distance, small villages could be seen scattered among the hills, each with its own history and charm.

The fresh air came through the windows of the bus, and I couldn't help but smile, as I looked out at the trees, fields and wildflowers that decorated the route. On several occasions, I compared what my eyes were seeing with the landscapes I remember from the roads of my country.

Sometimes, we would come across small farms, where animals could be seen grazing peacefully. It was as if time passed more slowly, allowing us to enjoy every detail of the landscape.

The whole road invited us to disconnect, to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city and connect with the goodness of nature. Arriving in Guatavita was the icing on the cake, soon I will be telling you how beautiful this town is, but I confess that the serenity that the route offered us left me with a pleasant feeling of peace and joy. It really was a journey that I enjoyed as much as Guatavita, the tourist town we visited on our first trip outside of Bogotá.

En nuestro reciente viaje a Guatavita, quedé maravillada por la belleza del paisaje. Tomé tantas fotografías que tengo que hacer varias publicaciones para mostrárselas todas. En el viaje de ida, la carretera nos fue envolviendo, poco a poco, en un entorno lleno de verdes colinas y montañas majestuosas. El cielo estaba despejado, con un azul intenso, que contrastaba perfectamente con el vibrante verdor que aparecía en cada curva del camino. A lo lejos, se podían ver pequeños pueblitos dispersos entre los cerros, cada uno con su propia historia y encanto.

El aire fresco entraba por las ventanas del bus, y no podía evitar sonreír, mientras miraba los árboles, los campos y las flores silvestres que decoraban el trayecto. En varias ocasiones, comparé lo que veían mis ojos con los paisajes que recuerdo de las carreteras de mi país.

A veces, nos cruzábamos con pequeñas fincas, donde se veían animales pastando tranquilamente. Era como si el tiempo pasara más lento, permitiéndonos disfrutar de cada detalle del paisaje.

Todo el camino invitaba a desconectarnos, a dejar atrás el bullicio de la ciudad y conectar con las bondades de la naturaleza. Llegar a Guatavita fue la guinda del pastel, próximamente les estaré contando lo bonito que es este pueblo, pero confieso que la serenidad que nos ofreció la ruta me dejó una agradable sensación de paz y regocijo. Realmente fue un trayecto que disfruté tanto como Guatavita, el pueblo turístico que visitamos en nuestro primer viaje fuera de Bogotá.
