Hoy les voy a hablar un poco de este insecto llamado chapulines o saltamontes, por lo general son insectos alargados con alas delgadas y flacas pero también existen saltamontes con alas largas y membranosas que son capaces de volar. Las piezas bucales del saltamontes si pueden pellizcar con las mandíbulas pero no es lo suficientemente fuerte como para causar daño. Aparte de eso, no son dañinos para los humanos.

I found this grasshopper on one of my corn crops as they feed on the leaves and do a lot of damage to the margins or cut off large portions of the leaf tissue. They also nibble on buds and sometimes Spike.
