PRESENTING MY CUSTOM MADE LAYERED SCENTED CANDLE.

My friend who makes scented candles delivered mine to me a couple days ago and I was excited to burn it. I also feel bad about burning it because that would be the beginning of it's undoing. What a life? To be a candle, with a destiny to die to live, to burn, to unravel, to destroy. To be a flame, a burning fire; something is always giving itself for the beautiful flames and warmth we enjoy. I think a bit of that is also in our nature as human beings because we always lose some part of ourselves to make room for a new growth, a new beauty or a new chapter.

This is my first scented candle. I've lit and used quite a few as you can see in the first photo but I have never actually owned one so, this makes me happy and it does represent something in my life, a new awareness which I shall learn as I burn. Something has to give, right? Something has to die for me to know and I am excited to do this shadow walk with myself to reveal the light at the end. The jar is so pink and bold and I love it. The little gem stones are to die for, I look forward to adding them to my collection of things.

Oh, I did say it was layered; yeah when she started making the candles, she used an oud fragrance for the first batch she made, I know this because I was there. That was when she got the idea to layer my candle so she filled half my jay with the oud candle, then later filled it with with the lavender I initially wanted. What this means is my candle is going to change notes along the way. This was only an experiment and she hopes the lavender mixes well with the oud. It smells so great and already, I don't think she should be worried.
