Dry Bird Bath by the Dried-up Lakes Edge

The lake has dried up over the last three years and while it is interesting to see what laid at the bottom I can't help but wonder how the ecology of the area will change if the lake bed stays dry.

The bird bath was on a constructed ledge which gives an idea of how high the water level reached, there is a 'floating' dock in the background that has been grounded for quite some time. The path behind it was recently paved for vehicles to venture from the main road to the lake floor.

The photo is nice though!
