Luxury Toilets at Mall Icon Siam

Art is a work that is created from the mind of a human being, turning an ordinary thing into something extraordinary. Many people live off art, that's why art goes with life. Likewise art makes humans more alive and colorful.

This trip is an interesting story, the story is that last November I toured the city of Bangkok, many things have changed since the last time I went to Bangkok in 2016, one of which was a very large mall, located on the banks of the Chao Praya River. Such a spectacular, magnificent and luxurious mall, ICON SIAM.

There are so many well-known brands in this mall, making this mall have its own charm, especially for people who like to spend money to buy branded goods, whether it's as an investment or for a spree. This mall is also the only mall that amazed me, so I came here to try and feel the ambiance.

However, this time I will not discuss how grand and luxurious the architecture of the mall is, instead I am very impressed with a facility that must exist in public spaces, namely toilets. So, at that time, I felt the need for a toilet for pee, after walking very far, I found a women's toilet in the corner of this very big mall room.

At first I didn't think that it was a public toilet, my assumption was that it was a special room for mall employees, but to my surprise I saw that this was really a very luxurious toilet. I entered with great hesitation, but slowly I believed that there was a small, neatly stacked booth with open doors and that room was a toilet on one of the floors at the ICON SIAM mall.

After defecating, I tidied myself in front of the toilet mirror, I was amazed by all the beauty in this toilet. I felt like I was in an episode of a Korean drama, which tells about a conglomerate (read: chaebol) who has a very luxurious house and this is the toilet they have. I saw that this toilet was the most luxurious toilet I've ever used.

We briefly discuss this work of art, a toilet which is certainly entrusted to an experienced architect. This is a work of art, not a public toilet anymore, I thought. When entering, right at the main door of the toilet, there is a monochrome painting, it is a painting that has a texture, I thought it was just a canvas printed using a photo of a situation, in fact it is a painting that has high artistic value. You can see in the painting there are 2 humans doing an activity, it looks like they are in a shop that sells woven hats made of nipa fiber. Supported by black and white marble floors, making the entrance very luxurious, with glass walls that add a strong exclusive impression. When I entered, I smelled a very soft scent, faintly in my nose, making this toilet the most fragrant toilet I've ever used.

The bathrooms are very clean, there isn't a single spot, not even just water falling on the floor, very clean, even though I don't see any workers here. One of the things that makes this toilet clean at all times is self-awareness and there are also several sanitizers that users can use to clean the toilet after use, it is very important to keep the toilet very hygienic even though this is a public toilet.

In front of the toilet cubicle, a mirror is provided to tidy yourself up, plus a luxurious marble table. Some mirrors are round and oval which add an exclusive impression, standing upright with very high quality materials. Above the mirror, there are 2 round lamps which add to the luxury, accompanied by a black glass wall that reflects faint light. A pot with green and white leaves is also there to add a beautiful image to this toilet.

The sink is also no less interesting, there are 6 sinks that can be used, the water is also very clean and flows profusely. There are very large mirrors with round shapes facing each other, making mirror reflections that make this toilet look very spacious, an illusion that amazes me, like I'm in an art workshop. Behind the mirror, you can see a wall that has a stone texture made of silver, reflecting the light from the lamp right behind the mirror, adding to the impression of perfect luxury and elegance.

Almost all of the materials used to make this aesthetic toilet are made of silver/aluminum, creating a work that will be used for a very long time. I understand that using aluminum in the toilet will make it easier to clean, besides that it is very hygienic because aluminum is a material that does not rust easily when exposed to water, especially some cleaning agents such as alcohol and ethanol.

It's incomplete if you don't take a selfie in a mirror toilet, it's a female habit, maybe because the mirror toilet adds beauty and brightens the skin to the camera. Until finally, we returned to the hostel after nearly 30 minutes in the toilet to admire its beauty.
