Gochujang Glazed Tempeh
I was just telling my friend about our goals to lose weight. Yes, I've been on a diet for 3 months to get my body back in shape. You don't have to lose weight right away, because I'm not a professional model. I'm slowly making my body lighter, starting November last year, about 3 months ago, I started a calorie deficit and exercised regularly.
In fact, my efforts succeeded little by little. Maybe the progress isn't fast, I can lose 10 kg in more than 3 months. There are many advertisements that claim that the product can lose 10 kg in 1 month, that is too extreme and a hoax. How can drugs make weight loss drastically like that. If the product that is sold must be very dangerous for the body's metabolism.
During these 3 months, I have always maintained my diet, especially carbohydrates, I prefer a diet that is high in protein and fiber. For that, I'm more careful in consuming fat and carbohydrates. The main way to make food that is high in protein, I always use tofu and tempeh as the main ingredients.
Tempeh is a food ingredient that is high in protein but low in carbohydrates and fat. Unlike fish, chicken and meat which are still high in fat. It's been almost 3 months, I consume tofu and tempeh every day, I really like it. You know that foods that are high in protein are definitely very expensive, but it's different from tofu and tempeh which are still very cheap.
However, the processing of tempeh into food is too monotonous, many people think that tempeh and tofu can only be fried or boiled. However, I can make tofu and tempeh into very tasty dishes with a variety of flavors. Tempeh wrapped in gochujang sauce will be very appetizing.
To make Gochujang Glazed Tempeh, there are several ingredients that will be used, apart from that, always follow step by step in making Gochujang Glazed Tempeh, use quality ingredients, Hivers!
Ingredients;
- 1 pcs tempeh
- 2 stalks of green onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp gochujang
- 1 tsp mirin
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp mushroom stock
- Olive oil or canola oil
- Pepper and salt
How to make gochujang glazed tempeh;
- Cut the tempeh into cubes, adjust the size to your liking.
- Heat a non-stick wok pan, add a little olive oil or canola oil. Fry on the tempeh pan, then back and forth so that it is cooked evenly. Can also without fry to reduce oil.
- Pour 1 tsp of gochujang, sesame oil, mushroom stock, mirin and crushed garlic into a bowl. Stir well.
- Pour the seasoning into the fry pan, add a little water, then wait for it to boil.
- Put the tempeh that has been toasted into the frypan, pour a little chili sauce to add to the spicy taste. Let the gochujang sauce seep into the tempeh. Turn off the heat if the gochujang sauce dries up.
- Sprinkle some green onions and sesame. Gochujang glazed tempeh is ready to be served.

A very simle recipe but a healthy one plus looks expensive but it''s not as you said so a peafect food for those who want to do some diet.
