Loose postcards about the city of Lima. / Postales sueltas sobre la ciudad de Lima.
I have been to the city of Lima on several occasions, although it has generally been a place of passage for me, among other things, because of the incredible attraction I feel towards the Andean mountains, which always becomes my favorite destination.
So I am going to outline some impressions I had of this city on my last visit a few years ago and also preceded by the migratory wave of Venezuelans, among them several friends, who had the city of Lima as their destination.
In those years Lima was not very common to get Venezuelans there who were not as tourists, and although at that time I already had Venezuelan friends there, it was only a couple and they were moved by academic reasons and affection.
The city I found was friendly and helpful, full of contrasts, with some of the craziest traffic I've ever seen and fabulous cuisine, I always say.
I was more towards the Barrancos sector, which adjoins the better known and tourist Miraflores, and I loved it for its aged atmosphere, the bohemian aura of some of its bars.
Although the characteristic gray sky and the humid environment are characteristic and were not the exception during my visit, I can also say that I was lucky to see other shades.

The city looks not very busy. I love the quiet atmosphere there. The people there seem to be very enjoyable with their lives.
I have to say that I was in a somewhat lonely area, compared to other parts of the city that do have that somewhat frenetic atmosphere of Latin American cities. And as has happened in other cities, people move from the historic areas, in search of modern condominiums in other economic hubs.
How nice that you have been able to go to the city of Lima, I like that city for its climate, taking into account that I love cloudy skies, the traffic I have been told is crazy, however what a beauty of architecture I can see in these photographs. Thank you for this wonderful post.
The city has its charm, and it is quite large, so I got to know little of it all, most of the days were cloudy and the occasional sunny afternoon that I enjoyed looking out over the Pacific. I also loved its architecture. Thanks for your comment
