I am visiting the Colombian capital for the first time. It's a business trip, so I'll be busy for a good part of the day, but I'll try my best to explore and discover as much as I can.

I've only been here for a few hours, and I already feel a mix of sensations due to the curiosity of being in a completely new place and the tension caused by being involved in a demanding work project.

My initial impressions revolve around the weather, as this city feels cold to me, coming from a warm place like Caracas. Here in Bogotá, the temperature ranges from 17 degrees Celsius during the day to 8 degrees at night, with some occasional rain during the day.

I somewhat enjoy the cold, as I grew up in a place located over 1500 meters above sea level with high humidity. However, I must admit that since I've been living in Caracas, I have become quite accustomed to its tropical warmth.

These photos are from the surroundings of the place where I am staying. It's a bustling commercial area with a wide range of gastronomic and cultural offerings. I look forward to exploring the city further in the coming days.

I've also noticed many urban cyclists on the streets as I've been getting around, and from what I've heard, there is a strong cycling culture in this city. It would be a success for me to be able to ride a bike during these days.

From the very beginning, Bogotá stands out as a modern city. There is a welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere that reminds me of other great Latin American capitals.

Aterrizando en Bogotá

Estoy de visita por primera vez en la capital colombiana. Es un viaje de trabajo, así que estaré ocupado buena parte de las horas del día, pero intentaré en lo posible conocer y explorar lo más que pueda.

Llevo apenas unas horas aquí y ya siento una mezcla de sensaciones por la curiosidad de estar en un sitio completamente nuevo y la tensión que me produce estar en un exigente proyecto laboral.

Mis primeras impresiones giran en torno al clima, ya que esta es una ciudad fría para mí, que vengo de un lugar cálido como Caracas. Aquí en Bogotá, durante estos días, la temperatura oscila entre los 17 grados centígrados en el día y los 8 grados en la noche, con lluvias relativas durante el día.

Me agrada algo el frío, ya que crecí en un lugar situado a más de 1500 metros de altitud y con mucha humedad. Sin embargo, debo reconocer que desde que estoy viviendo en Caracas, me he acostumbrado bastante a su calidez tropical.

Estas fotografías son de los alrededores del lugar donde me hospedo. Es un área bastante comercial y con una amplia oferta gastronómica y cultural. Ansío explorar más a fondo la ciudad en los próximos días.

También he visto muchos ciclistas urbanos en las calles por donde he andado, y por lo que he escuchado hay una amplia cultural ciclista en esta ciudad, así que sería un éxito para mí lograr montar una bici en estos días.

Bogotá resalta desde el primer momento como una ciudad moderna. Hay un ambiente acogedor y, a la vez, cosmopolita que me recuerda a otras grandes capitales latinoamericanas.
