Unwinding at Toa Payoh Park Singapore.

Good day, everyone. I hope you're all doing well. Today is a sunny day. We decided to visit and stay in one of Singapore's town park. It is a large area and often crowded on Sunday because many people are coming here to spend time and relax.

We found a good place to lay our sheet and food. We bought it from food courts and brought it here to share and eat together while having a good time.

Many people can also be seen around; some are playing songs while others are dancing with friends. A certain group was celebrating one of their friends' birthday. Ways to enjoy and relax during their off day.

After we got bored staying on that spot, we decided to go to the other side. We packed our things and cleaned as we went.

Here comes the turtle. Every pond here has turtles. I even saw some resting on the rocks or enjoying the sun. I saw some fish swimming at the far edge of the pond but didn't get the chance to capture them.

This park was developed in the seventies, and it's a popular venue for weddings during their prenup photos. Those who want to capture the style and fashion of the years back then. This landscaped pond and the sizeable relaxing place are also ideal for families to take an enjoyable stroll or jog around the beautiful colored pathway. Also, you can sit and relax under the willow trees on the benches and admire the cascading pools at the pond's edge. Even though it was built ages ago, this park has retained its beauty and charm. The government sure did a good job maintaining its nature's beauty.

After spending most of our time in this park, we moved to the nearest place near the MRT station. It is easy for us to go home after the whole day of roaming around. We again found a place to sit while waiting for the time to go home. While sitting, a bird flew next to me. It was maybe asking for food. Birds here are friendly and approachable. Different from my country. They are scared of humans. Since it came towards me. I took a photo of it. It's a pigeon. Yet, here in Singapore, feeding a bird or other animals is strictly prohibited. You can be fined if you get caught. That's why we are strongly advised not to feed Pigeons, as feeding them may rapidly increase their population, which can result in pigeon-related nuisance and hygiene issues. They also lose their natural ability to survive on their own. Even though this bird looks adorable, I stop myself from giving it food because I don't want to take the risk. I also don't have money to pay the fine. So, it is better to admire it from a distance.

After staying there for a while, we packed our things and got ready to go home when we saw that it was time for our curfew. We bid goodbyes and went our separate ways with joy and peace in our hearts.

That's all for today, guys. I hope everyone has a great weekend. See you around ♥️

Nice park looks like a great place to go with friends and enjoy some food. I can't wait to enjoy some food outside again picnic style. The turtles are cute getting some sun, hehe. I think that shows there are a lot of turtles there. Here I see a lot in the water not much of them out of it.

Oh the pigeons, I've seen areas in larger cities were people feed them and all I say is a hat is recommended to be worn, haha.

Thanks for sharing and have great week :)

I think it is a bird species that is over populated everywhere. There known to carry a lot of diseases as well.

Yes.. that's why we're not allowed to feed them.. otherwise they would multiply rapidly😌. But in my country.. people would catch them and cook😬😛

I remember back in the day Singapore was really strict with fines and corporal punishment for littering and other things.

So yeah no feeding the pigeons! Unless cucumber of course.
