[PL / ENG] My Actifit Report Card: September 14 2025

Ludzie - starzeję się! Lało wczoraj potwornie, co nie zmieniło faktu, że ponosiło mnie z domu. W domu wszyscy rozleniwieni i w trybie kanapowym, więc porzuciłam moją familię i udałam się na deszczowy spacer (połączony rzecz jasna z zakupami w aptece, piekarni i sąsiedniej czytelni zwanej Intermache, gdzie jak co niedzielę byli WSZYSCY).

People—I'm getting old! It rained like crazy yesterday, but that didn't change the fact that I was carried away. Everyone at home was lazy and in couch potato mode, so I abandoned my family and went for a rainy walk (combined, of course, with some shopping at the pharmacy, bakery, and the neighboring reading room called Intermache).

Wniosek o starzeniu się wynika stąd, że ten spacer sprawił mi niesamowitą przyjemność. Było coś kojącego w tym deszczu. Nie dam wiary, że ja, osoba słońca i lata, nagle zacznę odkrywać uroki jesieni i stanę się jesieniarą. No nie uwierzę.

The conclusion about aging stems from the fact that this walk gave me incredible pleasure. There was something soothing about the rain. I can't believe that I, a person of sunshine and summer, will suddenly start discovering the delights of autumn and become an autumn lover. I won't believe it.

Ale szłam sobie, ubrana w kurtkę softshell, w kaloszach, chlapiąc sobie beztrosko w głębokich kałużach i podziwiając krople deszczu zbierające się na liściach.

But I walked along, wearing a softshell jacket and wellies, splashing carefree in deep puddles and admiring the raindrops collecting on the leaves.

Mgliście, mokro, cisza, spokój.

Foggy, wet, quiet, calm.

Wolę lato, upał, słońce i błękit nieba, ale na stare lata dotarło do mnie, że może te zmiany, te urozmaicenia, mają jakiś swój urok?

I prefer summer, the heat, the sun and the blue sky, but in my old age I have realized that maybe these changes, these variations, have some charm of their own?

A może nie, może tylko tak jednorazowo mnie nastroiło. Bo późnym popołudniem, jak się w końcu przejaśniło, to wszyscy czworo dziarsko ruszyliśmy razem na mały spacerek :)

Or maybe not, maybe it was just a one-off thing that got me in the mood. Because late in the afternoon, when it finally cleared up, all four of us set off for a short walk together :)
