My Favorite Breed in Our Small Collection
Canon EOS 550D || 18.0 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor
I am not only fond of flowers and Plants but I also like keeping pigeons. Actually it would be more correct to say that my father is more interested in pigeons than me.
I only look after them once in a while and I simply enjoy watching them. They are one of God's beautiful creations and every part of them looks beautiful.
Right now, we have five pigeons at our home. Three are of one breed and the other two are of different breeds. In our Hazara language, these breeds are called Sharbati, Karbalai, and Zakh.
These three breeds are well known in our area and are also quite valuable. In the picture you are looking at, pigeons from all three of these breeds are present.
The one I like the most is the Sharbati pigeon which you can see is light silver in color.
There is a common belief in our area that a house where pigeons are kept stays free from troubles and is protected from black magic or other harmful things. That is why we often try to keep pigeons.
However, sometimes when we travel they become a problem because someone has to feed and care for them. That is why we are planning to build a pigeon house on the upper part of our roof and let them live more freely so they can find their own food and water...
At the moment we keep these five pigeons in a cage. There is one pair and the other three are young pigeons.
On the roof of my house there is a large fiberglass shade that we originally built to protect us from the sun. But now it has become a resting place for birds. Pigeons, doves, sparrow and other birds come to eat and drink and do enjoy with other birds.
Yesterday evening I was sitting on the roof with my family and drinking tea. Suddenly I thought that
Why not take some pictures of these pigeons and share a collection of them with all of you???
I tried to capture these pigeons from different angles using my Canon DSLR camera. I also hope to buy a macro lens very soon so that I can zoom in from a distance and easily take pictures of birds or any other object.
I hope you will enjoy these pictures.
