The Fatimiya Academy football tournament (interclasses 2025) officially started, in which 12 teams took part. This happened for the first time in the history of this academy that so many teams participated. In the previous tournaments we had only 6 teams which they play league matches. But in this tournament there are 12 teams which they play knockout matches, which means that children have more interest toward sports. This is a good thing, and we should try more to bring students toward sports.

In this tournament, matches were played from the start in knockout stages. Because of shortage of time and too many teams participated we decided to have knock out matches. Only 4 rounds will be played Round 1 knockout matches, Quarterfinal, SemiFinals and Final match.

Warmup Time

𝟣𝟤 Tᴇᴀᴍs, 𝟣 Dʀᴇᴀᴍ , 𝟣 Cʜᴀᴍᴘɪᴏɴ

For the start of the tournament sports team held a meeting to decide about the start date and plan other activities of this tournament. Every year, a football tournament is organized in Fatimiya Academy, but it has no fixed timing because of the busy schedule of the academy. Whenever the academy gets free from studies or there is no special activity, then the tournament date is decided.

In this meeting, the main role was mine, Mudasir’s, and Murtaza’s.
We three are sports incharges, and all arrangements are in our hands.
We decided together that the tournament will start from 5th October.
The main reason was that the weather is very good, not too cold and not too hot, and also the academy’s educational activities are going on in normal routine, there will be no disturbance for the classes on the week days.

Players are getting ready in their kits

So, this was a suitable time to start the tournament. We decided that matches will only be played on Saturday and Sunday, which are holidays of the academy and on other days educational activities will continue so that students studies are also not affected.

Some rules were made for this tournament. Each team will have 7–8 players, only 6 can play in a match, and 2 will be substitutes. Each half of the match will be 25 minutes. From the start, knockout matches will be played, and other normal FIFA rules will be followed and also all these rules were delivered to every captain of the team.

PT Exercise

Oᴜʀ Rᴇsᴘᴏɴsɪʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs

We three took our responsibilities. Syed Mudasir was given the task to inform all players within one week and make their teams. 12 classes took part in this tournament, 12 teams were prepared, the duty of match schedules, fixtures, poster and all photography work was given to me.

Ali Murtaza, who is physical sports teacher at Yazdan Khan School, was given the responsibility of ground management. This is one of the famous grounds of Quetta, and we are lucky that Ali Murtaza who is a staff member of the academy is also the incharge of that ground and for this tournament the same ground was selected.

Toss Time

Because we had to play the matches on a specific portion of the ground it was very necessary to draw lines on it. For this work, Syed Mudasir bought lime and came to the ground to make markings for the matches. He made the D area, out-of-D, and similarly the boundary of the playground.

On 5th October, Round 1 matches were held. All teams were informed to reach the ground at 6:30 in the morning. First, all teams were lined up and all players were told about rules and regulations. PT exercise and warmup were done.

At the start of the first match, both teams were lined up toss was held
to decide which team will take the goal side and which team will take the ball. Group photo was taken, and the referee officially started the match.
Photography work was given to me, so from start to end I took all photos
and every action of the tournament was captured.

Matches started morning at 7am and took around 3 hours for all the matches to be played. 12 teams played matches and did their hardwork to win but only winner will have to qualify. 6 strong teams were qualified for the quarterfinals. because in quarterfinals there are 8 teams but we had only 6 we decided to choose 2 teams directly for the semifinals through a draw.

Goal Celebration Time

The draw was taken and 2 best teams were directly qualified for the semifinals. The remaining 4 teams played their quarterfinal second round on Sunday two days ago. The same rules and regulations, same responsibilities, and same photography were given to me again.

Qᴜᴀʀᴛᴇʀғɪɴᴀʟs Cʟᴀsʜ

In this quarterfinal second round, 2 best teams qualified for the semifinals,
and the next match will be played on the coming Saturday. For the final, Sunday was chosen. Now we have less time within 5 days we have to make the best arrangements for the grand semifinals and finals.

First of all, we have to arrange shields and prizes for the runner-up and winner. This is a tough task because for this we have to take one full day
to go to the market and buy the best prizes. Similarly, making the shields also takes time.

During the match

The second important work we have to do is to invite the chief guest for the final match. Till now, we have not decided whom to invite but there is a high chance that we will invite a sports minister so that students get motivation and also financial support can be gained.

These two responsibilities we have to complete within 5 days and be ready for the final rounds. This has been a wonderful tournament till now
and the best one in the history of this academy. Our effort will be to keep it excellent till the final round and prize distribution. I will share the final ceremony of this tournament and will share each and every moment of it. Stay tuned till the next post.
