When Muharram comes, everywhere people prepare food for charity, and as much as possible, they feed mourners and poor people. The meaning of nazurat is when a person wants to give food for the sake of God or the family of the Prophet (Ahl-e-Bait), or to show love for them, they give food to poor people.
They have the belief that Imam Hussain has been slaughtered in the Karbala and they condemn the brutal act of Yazidis. To share their love and sympathy with Imam Hussain, on every moharam, Nazurat are being distributed among the poor people.
Muharram is a month that makes every person's heart feel sad, no matter which religion they belong to. This month is special for Imam Hussain (a.s), and his sacrifice is remembered.
Imam Hussain was a person who stood strongly against cruelty, and showed dislike for every Yazid (oppressor). He gave sacrifice so that cruel people can be exposed, humanity can be spread, poor people can be supported, and truth and falsehood can be made clear.
In this month, the Shia sect feels more sadness because they are closer to the family of the Prophet. But Imam Hussain is not just for one group and he is for all of humanity.
Every religion must read and know the story of battle of Karbala and we must know what was the purpose of Yazid and what was the purpose of Imam Hussain.
I have seen that our Christian and Hindu brothers also respect these days.
There is much poetry from them that shows sympathy for Imam Hussain.
If you donβt know about Muharram and the story of Imam Hussain, then I request you to search on Google or ChatGPT to learn more. The event of Karbala is a story that gives the best lesson for all of humanity.
Yesterday, at our home, we also made arrangements for charity food.
We thought to feed 250 people.
In one bread, we put tasty kebab, onion, and mint, and packed it like a roll.
This packing went on for about 1.5 hours. When 250 packs were ready, I took them to Fatimiya Centre, where there was a religious gathering (majlis).
After the gathering, all people were given food, which is surely a positive thing in society.
I took some pictures of the food and the packing, which I have shared with you all, and I hope you liked them.
I hope you find this post interesting and I hope you enjoy it. If you like the post, please leave feedback in the comments section so that the next one will be even better. Thank you for sticking with me until the end.
