Today is the day of Eid-e-Ghadeer, which is one of the big religious festivals in Islam. This day is especially celebrated with great enthusiasm by Shia sect people.

Wherever the Shia community lives, there Eid-e-Ghadeer is celebrated with great excitement, whether it is in any part of the world, people observe this day with respect and reverence.

Eid-e-Ghadeer is celebrated in memory of the day when Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) declared Hazrat Ali (A.S) as his successor, that is Wali-e-Amr, in front of his followers and took their pledge.

This is the day where Hazrat got a high value in humanity and he is being selected for the Caliph after prophet Mohammad SAW. This is no doubt a great day to celebrate and share joy and love.

This day is also called Din-e-Kaamil, which means complete day or perfect day. People show their love and loyalty to Ahl-e-Bait and pray that their teachings always remain a part of our lives.

People on this day, wear new cloths, help poor people by giving them foods, Give Eidi to each other, wish the happiness of this day to each other, visit relatives home and do enjoy this day.

This day is not only celebrated as a day of happiness but it also has many big lessons, like love, friendship, peace, hard work, charity, and many other lessons.

Celebrating such festivals is not only necessary for a special group but everyone should celebrate them. Every festival that gives the message of peace, love, and sympathy for the poor should be celebrated. First of all, there is humanity.

Last night, I went to a celebration where a very beautiful program was happening. People were listening to manqabat and poetry and expressing love.

There were huge crowd of people as seen in the picture. People were busy enjoying the Manqabat which is sang to express the love for Imam Ali.

The atmosphere there was very happy and the spirit of the people was worth seeing. I also took some pictures of the decorations which I am sharing with you all.
