Last Friday was Basant day, and before that, I told you all that Basant is a great festival here, and we enjoy it a lot. It's a day when every family climbs onto their rooftops to fly kites, set off firecrackers, and also enjoy family gatherings with food and drinks.

But unfortunately, there was heavy rain in my city on that day, and all the programs were ruined, especially for those who had bought chemicals and kites. Their money was wasted because there was no chance to fly kites all day.

But there were also addictive of flying kites which continued to fly during the rain, to be honest they have made kite with plastics and kept non enjoying their fly. This is how basant is celebrated in my city.

However, we still enjoyed the rain and the beautiful weather on our rooftop. I invited my cousin and my brother-in-law's son to join me on the rooftop, and we planned to have a lunch and evening tea. We also arranged samosas and biscuits for the evening.

This is always enjoying when you have hot foods in the cold season and specially during the rain time. With our every family gatherings we always arrange different foods to enjoy our moment.

We thought that if the rain continued, we would enjoy the weather and the food, and once the rain stopped, we would fly kites and enjoy the colorful sky with kites. But unfortunately, the rain kept going, and we didn't get a chance to fly kites.

However, we did enjoy the rain and the gathering of friends and family. We planned to order kebabs from the market and enjoy them for lunch, and because the rain made us extra hungry, we thought of making hot samosas and eating them with tea.

During this time, I thought about taking some pictures of the beautiful weather and the view of the rain to share with you friends. I climbed onto the rooftop, and at that time, I was alone, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to take good pictures.

It was lightly raining, and I kept taking pictures from different angles. As you can see, the beauty of the mountains was connected with the clouds, and the trees, which had just started to clear after the rain, were visible.

The surroundings and atmosphere in the village were clean, and everything looked very neat. As you can see in the first picture, the Kotal mountain and the Charshakh mountain are visible from my rooftop, and I tried to capture the beautiful trees, clouds, and light rain in the picture.

I also took pictures of other views specially the west side where the sunlight was shining and creating a unique scene. You can also see how quiet our street was due to the rain, with everyone staying inside their homes.
