I have been working with the American company La-Z-Boy to arrange a special export of reclining chairs to our ASEAN VIP Lounge, and I'm happy to announce they are here and the reclining room is ready.

     Sometimes we all need to relax, or more accurately recline for a brief nap, and nothing is better than the good ole' American La-Z-Boy for reclining. After all, it's been scientifically proven that Americans are the globally the best at eating unhealthy snacks and consuming sugary drinks while reclining in soft chairs. For this reason I decided to fill a room in the VIP Lounge with La-Z-Boy recliners, both for us to get a taste of American relaxation and also to fulfill a childhood dream of mine, to be the proud owner of a La-Z-Boy.

     In the reclining room there is no movie screen or even speakers, and I think this will help to make the simple act of reclining the highlight of experiencing this room. Sugary drinks and unhealthy foods are not only allowed, but encouraged in the reclining room. Bring on the diabetic power naps, ASEAN Hivers are ready ready to recline and enter glucose-induced trance-like states. Oh, almost forgot to mention, I relocated the first-aid kit to the new reclining room and I have five outstanding posts from each of our VIP tiers to share with you all.........

Someone finally stole my bicycle

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} I frequently talk about how I love how safe Vietnam is compared to other places that i have lived in the world and for the most part that is true. I guess some situations are just too advantageous for thieves to ignore though because after 3 years, my trusty $200 bicycle has been rushed away in the night, most likely to be sold for scrap because it isn't really worth anything being resold as a bicycle.

Uh oh! Some people are getting busted on less than legit visas in Vietnam

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} For a long time now I have been writing about how I don't think that anyone ever gets busted for overstaying their visas in Vietnam. It has always appeared as though if one doesn't want to leave when their visa expires and is prepared to pay the overstay fine that maxes out at $800, they could do so without much trouble.

Uncle Cha Kuey 👴

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} What is Cha Kuey? It is a golden crispy oil-fried pastry made from ingredients of flour, water, salt and egg. I usually ordered Cha Kuey Kahwin with margarine and coconut jam from Uncle Cha Kuey. Uncle Cha Kuey's stall is located nearby my workplace where I had worked there for more than 7 years. The stall opened its business from 10 am to 2 pm or maybe close earlier if the stock for sales sold out.

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} Lately, I've been sleeping early. I've bought a sleeping mask that just blacks everything out. And I've also tried doing the suggestion of @ace108 regarding the military way of sleeping. My dream was weird, I dreamt of the people who I hung out with during high school I haven't seen them for a very long time. Woke up around 6:30 and was debating if I should hit the gym. But as soon as I raised my arms, my lats were hurting badly from my last workout so I just went back to sleep. I woke up again, meditated, prayed, and played with my phone before getting up.

It scared the Rat Away!

^{(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ)} In the Philippines, ID pictures are used to scare rats away; at least that was a joke I heard from my friends way back when phones were not yet so popular. Way back in 90's and early 2000s, lovers give pictures to each other as a remembrance and it is what they keep looking at when they miss each other but when I asked my sister what she would do to the pictures she kept, she said she will use it to scare rats away.
