These photos are all taken during our idyllic trip down the Adriatic coast a few days ago. The day was bright and sunny, and too warm for my taste. I prefer to make these countryside trips with a bit of a shade in an equation.

I don't mind gloomy and/or cloudy weather either. On a couple of occasions, we drove to the mountains, and once up there the cloud formation would end up below us. It is a rather uncomfortable feeling to experience, because of the sudden altitude pressure drop.

But, clouds sometimes look interesting, and above is a perfect blue sky. It is perfect for photo sessions. I mean, those views are given to be photographed. But, there is a problem. I have to get up there.

I rather hang upside down off those cliffs than have to drive on some of the roads. Tourists are amazed because the views are breathtaking ( I second that, and by that I mean a panic-induced lack of air breath-taking experience with hallucinations ), but I personally freak out until I get there ( aka I experience everything from a weird episode of situational Tourette syndrome to a complete spiritual meltdown aka "I will rip your guts out you impotent prick, move your damn car, have you died in there!!" aka "Honey, I think there is a mountain goat on our hood" aka " IT IS A 180 CURVE!!!" aka "Ok, cuddling, we definitely ARE stuck in the snow.").

Anywayssss....

So, when we arrive at the scenic spot, I am already completely zoned out. Or flat-lined. I will post some photos I gathered from those places some other time. It was exciting.

This time, besides the pretty monotone sight of mountains, rocks, sea, and sky, I took a few relaxing and beautiful photos of the flowers along the way and I even managed to get a semi-decent macro of a small locust. He wasn't thrilled with the attention, but he took it heroically. Most of us would be petrified on spot by seeing the same thing.
