[ENG/ESP] Desafío #monomad: Escorpión. / Challenge #monomad: Scorpion.

I've long had the desire to do some black and white photos for the Black And White community, but I wasn't clear on what I wanted to do. I could think of several things but I always postponed it and one of the things that limited me is that I consider that I'm not very photogenic and I have zero knowledge about photography, in fact I don't take many selfies and I have few photos of myself except for the artistic makeovers I've done on the Hive Blog platform. I finally decided to do it and while I was thinking about it it occurred to me that I could start by making use of the tools I have, and I was inspired by a scorpion because of its intimidating shiny black color.

Hace mucho que tenía el deseo de hacer unas fotos en blanco y negro para la comunidad Black And White, pero no estaba clara en lo que quería hacer. Se me ocurrían varias cosas pero siempre lo posponía y una de las cosas que me limitaba es que considero que no soy muy fotogénica y en cuanto a conocimientos sobre la fotografía estoy en cero, de hecho no soy de tomarme muchas selfies y tengo escasas fotos mías a no ser las de los maquillajes artísticos que he hecho en la plataforma Hive Blog. Finalmente me decidí a hacerlo y mientras pensaba en ello se me ocurrió que podía empezar haciendo uso de las herramientas que dispongo, y me inspiré en un escorpión por su intimidante color negro brillante.

When I started to prepare to take my photos I tried to keep in mind that it would be in black and white to focus on giving depth and volume to the design and highlighting my features and not so much on the colors as I usually do in other occasions.

Cuando empecé a prepararme para hacer mis fotos procuraba tener presente que sería en blanco y negro para enfocarme en dar profundidad y volumen al diseño y en hacer destacar mis rasgos y no tanto en los colores como suelo hacer en otras.ocasiones.

Something that I really liked when looking at the black and white photos is that you can still see the light tone of my eyes and hair. This was something I was worried about because I thought that being black and white these aspects of my appearance would be totally obscured, to my pleasant surprise it was not.

Algo que gustó mucho al ver las fotos en blanco y negro es que aún se puede apreciar el tono claro de mis ojos y cabello. Esto era algo que me inquietaba porque pensé que al ser blanco y negro estos aspectos de mi apariencia quedarían totalmente oscurecidos, para mí grata sorpresa no fue así.

Taking these photos was a great thing to do and I'm not a model so I didn't know how to not always do the same pose and have the same expression on my face, I admire people who stand in front of a camera and feel so comfortable that the poses and expressions look captivating and very natural, that's not me, I don't really like my profile and fixing the lens from certain angles makes my face look too elongated, but after all I managed to meet my challenge with these pictures, I hope to improve and offer something more varied next time. Hacer estas fotos fue algo genial y no soy modelo así que no sabía como no hacer siempre la misma pose y tener la misma expresión en mi rostro, admiro a las personas que se paran frente a una cámara y se sienten tan cómodos que las posen y expresiones se ven cautivadoras y muy naturales, esa no soy yo, no me gusta mucho mi perfil y fijar el lente de ciertos ángulos hace que mi cara se vea demasiado alargada, pero después de todo punte cumplir mi reto con estas fotografías, espero mejorar y ofrecer algo más variado la próxima vez.
