Pineapple cake on the beach [ESP/ENG]
Hola a todos viajeros, hoy continuo con la segunda parte del viaje a Choroní para celebrar mi cumpleaños. Si aun no han leído la primera parte de este chimecito viajero por aquí se las comparto ⬇️.
Hello all travelers, today I continue with the second part of the trip to Choroní to celebrate my birthday. If you have not yet read the first part of this little traveler gossip, here I share it with you ⬇️.
La ruta de hoy, Tinikijima / Today's route, Tinikijima
Ahora si, por fin era el día de mi cumpleaños y amanecía con la canción "Feriado" de la agrupación Rawayana que mi amiga Luz me ponía para despertar con alegría.
Now it was finally my birthday and I woke up to the song "Feriado" by the band Rawayana that my friend Luz played to wake me up with joy.
El plan para ese día era ir a la playa Tinikijima después de hacer el desayuno, sin embargo, decidimos mejor salir a comer empanadas para que nos rindiera la mañana.
The plan for that day was to go to Tinikijima beach after breakfast, however, we decided to go out for empanadas to make our morning run.
Ir a comer empanadas de pescado fue la mejor decisión, además de eso cerca de allí esta el rio por lo que aprovechamos de acercarnos y remojar los pies.
Going to eat fish empanadas was the best decision, besides that near there is the river so we took the opportunity to get close and soak our feet.
Buscando el camino / Looking for the way
Minutos después estábamos ya listas para la playa, con trajes de baño y protector solar encima. Como les comente antes, ya había ido a Choroni y esa vez también fui a Tinikijima así que medio recordaba el camino, aun así, decidimos preguntar a la señora de la posada para que nos diera indicaciones de donde comenzaba la ruta.
Minutes later we were ready for the beach, with bathing suits and sunscreen on. As I told you before, I had already been to Choroni and that time I also went to Tinikijima so I half remembered the way, even so, we decided to ask the lady at the inn to give us indications of where the route started.
Entonces, cruzas en la esquina donde esta un quiosco, caminas hasta el fondo de la calle y ahí vuelves a cruzar hasta caminar de nuevo al fondo donde te encuentras con un rio, allí atraviesas un puente y sigues y sigues caminando.
Then, you cross at the corner where there is a kiosk, walk to the bottom of the street and there you cross again until you walk again to the bottom where you find a river, there you cross a bridge and keep walking and keep walking.
Después de un rato de caminata por fin se escuchaba en el fondo las olas del mar, eso era un indicio de que estábamos en el camino correcto.
After a while of walking we could finally hear the waves of the sea in the background, that was an indication that we were on the right path.
Esta playa es un paraíso, es pequeña y no habían muchas personas a la hora en la que llegamos, pero lo realmente sorprendente aquí era la fuerza del oleaje. Puedo confesar que las olas me revolcaron un par de veces.
This beach is a paradise, it is small and there were not many people at the time we arrived, but what was really amazing here was the strength of the waves. I can confess that the waves rolled over me a couple of times.
El oleaje era agotador así que no estuvimos tanto tiempo metidas en la playa, al mediodía estábamos de regreso en la posada y camino al local donde compramos las empanadas en la mañana, pues ahí almorzaríamos un buen plato de pescado frito.
The surf was rough so we didn't spend so much time on the beach, by noon we were back at the lodge and on our way to the place where we bought the empanadas in the morning, because there we would have a good plate of fried fish for lunch.
Ahora si, un momento esperado por mi era por fin comer torta. Un día antes del viaje había comprado un minipastel de piña para compartir con mis amigas y hacer el acto de cantar cumpleaños. Total que la torta la metí en la maleta y luego esta fue metida en la maleta del autobús así que llevo muchos golpes en todo ese trayecto, sin embargo podemos decir que supero todas las pruebas y llego sana y salva a la posada.
La torta de piña es mi favorita por lo que fue sabroso para mi darme ese gusto de comerla en mi cumpleaños.

Now yes, a long awaited moment for me was to finally eat cake. A day before the trip I had bought a pineapple cake to share with my friends and make the act of singing birthday. So I put the cake in the suitcase and then it was put in the suitcase of the bus, so it took a lot of bumps along the way, however we can say that it passed all the tests and arrived safe and sound at the inn.
Pineapple cake is my favorite so it was tasty for me to treat myself to it on my birthday.
El resto de la tarde noche la pasamos en el malecón de Puerto Colombia viendo el atardecer y tomándonos una cervecita y sangría para pasar el rato.
The rest of the evening was spent on the boardwalk in Puerto Colombia watching the sunset and having a beer and sangria to pass the time.
Sin duda este se convierte en uno de esos cumpleaños que se graban en la memoria. Fueron tantas cosas buenas las que sucedieron, desde el hecho de tomar la decisión de irme de viaje a disfrutar mi cumpleaños como lo quería, hasta la compañía que en todo momento dijo que si a esta idea y por supuesto el encantador puerto.
Undoubtedly this becomes one of those birthdays that are engraved in the memory. There were so many good things that happened, from the fact of making the decision to go on a trip to enjoy my birthday as I wanted, to the company that at all times said yes to this idea and of course the lovely port.
Todavía nos quedamos otro día mas en Choroní disfrutando esta vez de Playa Grande, pero en esta ocasión si no tomé tantas fotografías, solo nos dedicamos a bañarnos o mejor dicho a luchar todo el día con las olas.
We still stayed another day in Choroní enjoying this time Playa Grande, but this time I didn't take so many pictures, we just bathed or rather fought all day with the waves.
Bueno, lo que si hice al día siguiente fue llevarme mi libreta y mis creyones y tomar un tiempo para dibujar la playa. Aquí les comparto la publicación que hice de eso ⬇️.
