Fireball lily

Happy day, fellow plant lovers! Today I want to tell you a little about my experience with this Fireball lily. It was an experience that lasted several months, from the plant's dormancy and the emergence of the flower to its sudden death.
Understanding the lily
A long time ago, at my grandmother's house, I saw a flower made up of many small flowers that together formed a striking red ball. It appeared once a year or so, and some time ago I saw this same flower at my house. It was my mother who had brought a son home, and this year I was able to see the whole process.
The first thing that surprised me about this lily is its dormancy. I remember telling my mother with regret earlier this year that her plant had “died,” and she calmly explained to me that this type of plant enters a period of dormancy where it lets its leaves die in order to produce its beautiful flower.

After a while, the little plant was ready to surprise us with its flower. When the leaves began to sprout again, I went to see it at least every three days, eager to finally see the bud.

Every day when I woke up, I went straight to the garden. I'll upload the photos with dates so you can see the same process that I was able to enjoy live. By this day, the little flowers that were hidden in the bud were beginning to peek out.

The next day, its orange petals could be seen more fully open.

What really surprised me was the change on the 28th because the flower looked more open. And what can I say about the next day? I had so much fun playing with the photos I took of the flower.

It had rained that morning, and I was able to capture the tiny droplets. Although the flower was quite open, some of the petals had yet to fully open.

And now, the great fireball lily was in all its glory, but the happiness did not last long. Every day I went to see it, smell it, until one day it was simply broken. Someone had cut the flower and left it there in such a way that we didn't notice its condition. I was certainly very sad; this lily blooms radiantly for a long time, and we barely enjoyed it for a week.

Even so, the lily adorned my space. Every time I saw it, I remembered how beautiful it was to record its entire flowering process, and now I only had a still life, literally.

A little while ago, my mom and I pulled out the whole plant to see if it had any little ones growing nearby. Unfortunately, it didn't, but we transplanted it into a larger pot to see if that would help it multiply.
All the photographs displayed here are my own and were taken with the pro camera on a Poco X6 pro phone.
Thank you very much for joining me in this reading. See you next time, bye.

The Fireball Lily is so beautiful! It’s a pity that the bloom didn’t last long, but that’s okay it will bloom again. I hope its next flowers will be even more beautiful. I really like that plant. I don’t have one like it yet.
Now we have to wait for the next bloom. I hope someday you can have your fireball lily if that's what you want 😁
A beautiful lily , I know it can grow because it has a root. Give it time and a place to adapt something so that it could grow again.
Yes, I was just checking it today and it's very pretty. We'll have to be very patient until it blooms again.
The Fire ball lily is such a stunning plant! I love how you cared for it through every stage of its growth.
