The African drummer

Hello hive, it is good to be here again.
Today i will be sharing a painting i created using oil colour. I title it the African drummer. It is believed that Africa is a black nation that comprises of different cultures amd tradition. Apart from being a black nation, it is also known to be a wealthy continent.

I was born in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Abeokuta is mostly populated by handsome drummers. This drummer are usually invited to ceremonies such as birthdays, weddings, naming, convocation, opening of a new house, installation ceremony and burial ceremonies. They are invited to make the ceremonies lively and joyful.

Apart from this, talking drum is believed to be a membrane musical instruments used to communicate a message, proverbs or idiomatic expressions. With the aid of its handle, it speaks so loudly. Besides, it contain two faces and a twined rope that join the faces to the grog in-between.

A person who plays a talking drum must be very vast in words and proverbs. Infact, such person must be very creative and joyful no matter our stressful he may be. A talking drum possesses a spirit that only manifest in a person that is full of understanding and jovial.

I did this painting to show how are talking drum looks like and to explain how the drummer must be physically for the spirit behind the drum to possess him.
