Seascapes And Long Exposures in Orebić - MONOMAD CHALLENGE

For today, I’ve put together a selection of photos I had the pleasure of taking during a vacation on the Pelješac Peninsula nearly two years ago. During that trip, I often left my camera behind and shot exclusively with my smartphone. You know how it is on holiday - it’s primarily a time to relax, and often you simply don’t feel like lugging around all that photography gear.

For me, my iPhone offers a real advantage when shooting seascapes, as you’ll see in today’s photos. Its built-in long-exposure mode allows me to blur the water without needing to attach ND filters, a feature I really enjoy using.

It was a rather cloudy day, and my wife and I simply wanted to take a walk along the Adriatic coastline, so we headed to Orebić, the peninsula’s main tourist hub. With its well-maintained beaches, extensive tourist infrastructure, and stunning seascapes, the town is a major draw.

We spent several hours that day exploring various corners of Orebić, but I was most captivated by the seascapes: straw beach umbrellas, rocks jutting out of the sea here and there, boats moored along the shore, and waves crashing against the sandy shore. All of this made it impossible to put photography out of my mind completely, compelling me to capture a few long-exposure shots.
