[PHOTO BLOG] ŚWIT NA PILSKU / DOWN ON PILSKO

Jedyne takie zdjęcia w mojej fotograficznej „karierze”. W sierpniu 2018 roku wybrałem się z rodzeństwem na wschód słońca na Pilsko. Bardzo spontaniczne wyjście, które zaplanowaliśmy przy grillu wieczorem i po jedynie 3 h snu wyruszyliśmy w drogę.

Sierpień wiąże się z ważnym wydarzeniem astronomicznym. Przez całą wędrówkę w ciemności co chwilę widzieliśmy wypalające się w ziemskiej atmosferze perseidy. Była to jednak moja pierwsza styczność z fotografowaniem takich zjawisk i szczerze mówiąc nie podołałem zadaniu. Nie udało mi się złapać choćby jednej smugi świetlnej pozostawianej przez meteory.

Polski szczyt Pilska osiągnęliśmy na długo przed wschodem słońca. Zaczynało dopiero świtać. Nie zamierzałem jednak czekać, aż światło naszej gwiazdy zacznie dominować na nieboskłonie. Rozstawiłem sprzęt i zrobiłem kilka zdjęć krajobrazu z długim czasem naświetlania.

Dawn at the top of Pilsko.

The only such photos in my photographic "career". In August 2018, I went with my siblings to the sunrise in Pilsko. A very spontaneous outing, which we planned at the barbecue in the evening and after only 3 hours of sleep we set off on the road.

August is associated with an important astronomical event. Throughout the journey in the dark, we saw perseids burning out in the earth's atmosphere every now and then. However, this was my first contact with photographing such phenomena and, to be honest, I did not do the task. I didn't manage to catch even one streak of light left by the meteors.

We reached the Polish peak of Pilska long before sunrise. It was just beginning to dawn. However, I was not going to wait for the light of our star to dominate the sky. I set up the equipment and took some pictures of the landscape with a long exposure time.

Nisko nad horyzontem robiło się już jasno. Pojawiły się też bardzo ciekawe kolory. Wyższa część nieba była jednak wciąż ciemna emanując głębokie i mocno kontrastowe chłodne tony. Bardzo lubię tę porę dnia, jednak niestety nie zdarza mi się wtedy fotografować. Czekam niecierpliwie na rozpoczęcie sezonu obłoków srebrzystych (NLC), które pojawiają się nad horyzontem właśnie w tym czasie i motywują dodatkowo do wyjścia w plener.

Low above the horizon, it was already getting clear. There were also very interesting colors. However, the higher part of the sky was still dark, emanating deep and strongly contrasting cool tones. I really like this time of day, but unfortunately I don't happen to take pictures then. I'm looking forward to the start of the silver cloud season (NLC), which appear over the horizon at this time and additionally motivate to go outdoors.

Najciekawszą częścią tej scenerii była dla mnie ciemna sylwetka Babiej Góry na tle jaśniejącego horyzontu. Celowo zrobiłem zbliżenie na królową Beskidów żeby zachować ten bardzo ciekawy pejzaż na cyfrowej kliszy. To właśnie przedstawia drugie zdjęcie.

Kolory świtu to kontrast pomiędzy ciepłymi a chłodnymi tonacjami nieba. To świetna pora do prób stworzenia zdjęć o balansujących się nawzajem zakresach tonacji, znajdujących się po przeciwnych stronach koła barw. Właśnie takie zestawienia przeciwnych tonacji uwarza się za jedne z najlepszych połączeń nie tylko w fotografii, ale i w każdej innej dziedzinie sztuk wizualnych. Od grafiki komputerowej, aż po malarstwo.

Moim faworytem od zawsze jest połączenie pomarańczu z niebieskim.

The most interesting part of this scenery for me was the dark silhouette of Babia Góra against the background of the bright horizon. I deliberately made a close-up of the queen of the Beskids to keep this very interesting landscape on the digital film. This is what the second photo shows.

The colors of the dawn are a contrast between the warm and cool tones of the sky. This is a great time to try to create photos with balancing tone ranges, located on opposite sides of the color wheel. It is precisely such combinations of opposing tones that are one of the best combinations not only in photography, but also in any other field of visual arts. From computer graphics to painting.

My favorite has always been the combination of orange and blue.
