_{▸ O FOTOGRAFII · Co chwilę odpływały, ale dziwiło mnie w sumie, że nie odpłynęły całkiem. Wyraźnie denerwowała je moja obecność, ale chyba nie na tyle, żeby opuścić tę okolicę. Być może była wystarczająco obfita w pożywienie, aby znosić natrętnego fotografa.}

_{▸ Ustawiłem się nisko i od tego momentu starałem się ukrywać za trawą, żeby nie płoszyć ich aż tak bardzo. Samą trawę wykorzystywałem jako element dopełniający kadr, starając się przy tym, aby wychodziła mi rozmyta.}

_{▸ ABOUT PHOTO · They kept drifting away, though I was actually surprised they didn't leave altogether. My presence clearly bothered them, but apparently not enough to abandon the spot entirely. Maybe the feeding was good enough here to put up with one pushy photographer.}

_{I got low and from that point on tried to hide behind the grass so as not to spook them quite so much. The grass itself I used as a compositional element, trying to keep it nicely blurred.}

_{▸ O FOTOGRAFII · Jeden z nich odpłynął dalej. To pierwszy moment, kiedy wyraźnie się rozdzieliły. Wcześniej żerowały wspólnie. Ten, który pozostał bliżej, bacznie mnie obserwował, a jego spojrzenie mówiło - stój, gdzie stoisz! Nie podchodź bliżej.}

_{▸ Światło układało się na ich piórach genialnie i w zależności od tego, pod jakim kątem się do niego ustawiały, tworzyło zróżnicowany światłocień.}

Nie zamierzały jednak pozostać długo. Być może chciały jedynie dać chwilę wytchnienia łabędziom i zająć czymś natręta z aparatem?}

_{▸ ABOUT PHOTO · Literally moments after getting told off by a hungry, furious swan, a new set of birds showed up at the shore. These mallards had flown in from the opposite bank of the lake. They weren't planning to stay long though. Maybe they just came to give the swans a break and keep the nuisance with the camera occupied?}

_{▸ O FOTOGRAFII · Jedna z kaczek przerwała nieco szyk robiąc manewr z lekka bokiem. I to taki mały szczegół, który zaburzył nieco harmonię zdjęcia, ale dla mnie to akurat spory atut. Lubię wyłapywać takie szczegóły. Nie tylko w swoich zdjęciach.}

_{▸ Tutaj już aparat sam skrócił czas naświetlania do prawidłowego dla tak dynamicznej sceny. Fotografowałem w trybie preselekcji przysłony. Zawsze używam tego trybu, kiedy robię zdjęcia "z ręki". Trybu manualnego używam jedynie przy fotografowaniu ze statywu i w trudnych warunkach oświetleniowych. Ogólnie wtedy, kiedy sceny są spokojne i mam czas manewrować parametrami, bez ryzyka, że coś mi umknie.}

_{▸ ABOUT PHOTO · One of the ducks broke formation slightly, pulling off a little sideways manoeuvre. A small detail that disrupts the harmony of the shot, but for me it's actually a big plus. I like catching details like that. Not just in my own photos.}

_{Here the camera had already dialled the exposure time down to what was right for such a dynamic scene. I was shooting in aperture priority mode. I always use that mode when shooting handheld. Manual only comes out when I'm on a tripod or in tricky lighting. Generally when the scene is calm and I have time to play with settings without the risk of missing something.}
