Shadow Hunters 323 : The Studio

Hello, hello! Shadow Hunters! It's been a while...

I finally have some good shadows to share for this week's Shadow Hunt.

These are photos from our our last visit to the Abu Dhabi Children's Library last Thursday. What we love about going to the library apart from the vast selection of books we can borrow and meeting other kids who come here, is that there are lots of activities that the kids can join. There are regular age- appropriate activities, like book reading for the little ones, crafting for the bigger kids, and a lot more. Some of these activities are updated on the library's website, some, we just find out when we are there.

The Studio

As you can see my kids do not join every activity, but they always would like to join activities at the studio - these could be VR, photography, etc.

Last Friday, I was already preparing to leave, when the Little Man said that his sister was still at the studio, waiting to edit her photos. Apparently, the activity that day was to portrait photography and learning how to edit them.

I went to check out what they were doing inside the dark room. From the outside, the that part of the library is blocked by dark curtains. Whenever there are VR and lights activities, of course the room is dark. But this time, there was a bright spotlight illuminating the white background for the photography session.

Tripod

While sitting there and waiting with Little Miss as she waited for her turn to edit her photos, I noticed some nice shadows around the room. Like this one of this spare tripod at the side. The light from the front of the room gave this very distinct shadow to it.

Darth Vader

Turning around, I saw this life size Darth Vader figure. Errmm, I'm not entirely a Star Wars fan, but yep, he really was striking here, commanding attention from anyone in the room.

Chairs -- My entry for this week/

Finally, some chairs for the children who are attending the activities inside the studio. Honestly, I thought that my entry for this week would be the tripod, but looking at the photos again, these chairs, with their shadows on the white floor, against a black wall with colorful space-themed accents, are more striking.

So yeah, this photo below is my entry for this week.
