Harvesting Connections: A Mid-Autumn Get-Together at Okada Manila

It Finally Happened

We almost didn't meet, but thankully the moon and stars aligned and the team finally met. We thrived and operated a business with all of the admin and operations team working virtually. It worked. Amusingly. I have to say, those many group chats work wonders. LOL

We met at the grandious Okada Manila, which at that time was adorned with enchanting mid-autumn decorations. Okay, lezz do this!

Before the set coffee meeting with the boss, the team decided to meet earlier to get-to-know each other ahead of time. We had lunch and went around the hotel and yes, took some photos.

The coffee meeting was a blast! Last minute, our boss asked is to prepare a small game as a getting to know each other activity. We decided to do "Two Truths, One Lie". What better way to know someone given a short time but this, right?! It was a surreal experience, as if we were finally putting faces to the voices and messages that had become so familiar over the months.

We stayed at the Lobby Lounge for a few hours and waited until the buffet restaurant was open. There, we had dinner and enjoyed their delicious spread of international cuisine.

The lively conversations continued. I couldn't help but be amused at the instant connection we made. It was a testament to the power of technology to bridge distances and bring people together.

We somehow just had to make sure we get the most value for the cost of this buffet, we forgot about our escalated blood pressure and indulged in lobsters, oysters,and other sea food! Lol. And oh that salmon sashimi was delicios-O!

I'm undeliably a sweet tooth, I had to try all of these. XD

A Powerful Team

The night wore on and we couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment and gratitute. The online bond had been forged stronger by this meet up.

Despite the digital nature of our work, our bonds were real, our connections were strong, and our team was united by a shared purpose and a shared vision.
